Playing for the Axis faction in the Tunisia campaign is a pain. This is the only campaign I need to focus 100% on to win, because if I want to play with a tank the team will be without an engineer because in many matches I am the only engineer. I’ve lost count of how many times I lost in the Axis faction, if I want to play there just for fun without wanting to concentrate, defeat is practically guaranteed.
it doesn’t help that STG is in normandy and the Tiger 1 is in berlin which is drawing most of the playerbase there
This is classic. Not only in Tunisia, but often in other campaigns too. Hate matches like this. Whenever I jump into plane or tank enemies start caping. Heck, even when I build a new rally because my team isn’t doing that, enemies start to cap. I must be present whole time at the objective as a gunner or firethrower squad and do the all job myself. Problem for this are full AI teams, lack of real players, even if there are some then mostly with IQ and game sense of potato, nowadays also console players make it worse. I’ve never seen them doing any serious help for team or carrying. And Tunisia is 100% Ally bias, i’m sad to admit it but no one seems to care. I even feel that Allied mains in this campaign enjoy farming xp on bots or think it’s fun.
Care to elaborate on this? Since I would love to hear where the imbalance is and not a player base issue
More and better automatic weapons, which are cruicial winning this game. Better small arms in general, much better entry level tank. I’m not telling that this all is on purpose, but in my own perspective i see it biased.
Bolt actions trend for the allies is higher clips and better pull time but at the cost of no bayonet for most and longer reload.
smgs for the axis is longer ranged weapons compared to the allies.
Mgs are pretty much the same gun but with different skins early on with the exception of the czech bren which has notable ROF increase while you should be aware of BARa2 and MG34 effectiveness.
CAS is cancer for both sides since both of them have 500 kilo bombs.
semi autos has the allies be more cqc focused due to m1c’s faster ROF and garand’s lower reload time.
tanks are a bit tricky since AB41 has an autocannon with APHE, m14’s HE is surprisingly effective and the semovete excels at tanks but does need to get buffed with at least HE shells; while allied tanks are about the same armor and more geared for infantry support.
this is my 2 cents on the tunisia balance
The counter of better equipment is bigger army.
Unfortunately Axis Tunisia have neither of those.
You only play Allies in all other campaigns don’t you?
Also the new event squad is a slightly worse BAR squad. And they all got vitality too
ZB-26 is a fun MG its just that it’s limited by the magazine capacity. MG34 is the real deal right there alongside the Panzer III.
I like Italians… sure we lose more often than when I play allies, but their things are fun. I like their bolt actions, don’t judge. I just don’t know why their first beretta smg is almost identical to their last to unlock. Could have given the one found in Berlin and Normandy and it would have been great, yet not op (allies have the devourer of worlds, m1 tommy).
I just hope Tiger will get released here fast if only to draw Axis players back. (And Churchill because I love that slow and ugly tank)
almost identical to the next 2 unlocks
That too
I prefer the allies tommies, not because they are powerful but because each have a large enough rof difference between them.
no, i only play in the moscow campaign
True, especially that the Beretta M1 was a prototype only. Having the Beretta M38 as a level 26 unlock would definitely make the campaign more balanced.
The Beretta M1 would be nice to implement if Darkflow decided to make squads similar to those included in the “Firepower” bundle, for example an engineer squad with an assaulter: engineers armed with the Scotti Model X rifle and the assaulter with the Beretta M1. It would be visually different, but it wouldn’t make people mad about making one squad with two weapons unique in performance.
