Players should not see enemy artillery bombardement

Artilleries fire from kilometers away from actual frontlines, you cannot %100 predict where they will concentrate their fire everytime.
But you can catch enemy bomber formation with radar so it makes sense.
Both sides used radars in some extent
Land artillery fire shouldnt be seen by rival team like mortar shots, it doesnt make any sense

Yeah, it’s game mechanic. It’s not obv realistic. Magic hammer doesn’t work like that in reality too, genius.

Uneccesary one

In cbt there was a suggestion that arty warning should appear only after the first shell has already landed.

From a game balancing perspective it actually does.
There is NO WAY to counter standard artillery strikes. The most you can hope to do is kill the radio operator calling them in. HOWEVER they don’t have to make line-of-sight to the target zone, and they can ultimately hide them in a bunker or in greyzone all game meaning constant bombardment without a way to stop it.

  • Bomber strikes can be countered by shooting down the planes

  • Mortar squads have to have open access directly in front of them (not pressed against a wall) and open access to the sky. They can be shot, bombed, etc.

  • Field guns have to have line of sight to the target

  • What about artillery?
Until they add in actual locations that the artillery is shot from, which planes can then go and attack to delay or disable artillery, there needs to be a red circle given as a means to avoid it.

The other option is to remove the ability to just point and click on a map, and rather make it necessary for them to have line of sight on the target.
(This nerf could also come with a buff: being able to modify the radius in which its landing. Smaller radius means tighter concentration. Wider radius means less reliable hits but more area covered.)

Nonsense
You can counter it by killing radioguys
And your argument is flawed on many levels:
There is also nothing to counter a mortar 150 -200 meters away, if your teammates didnt mark him + you have some good pilot. And mortars can be way more deadly and accurate since you can change its position, and you have more rounds with mortars.

There is also nothing to counter a non marked, camping enemy tank at defence in some good protective position unless your teammtes mark it + you have some good pilot

You also cant counter a good enemy pilot if your team’s pilots suck or nobody builds any aa

Oh and 1 last thing;
You also cant counter good placed multiple rally points of enemy while your team does nothing and surround then flanked out of existence withing 5 minutes during matches.

So we should also be able to see every enemy mortar, plane, tank and rally point in maps too ?
Artillery effects very limited area and can be called after 2 minutes. Not even counting you cannot call it while some other guy is bombarding.

… Do you really think they are that difficult to see? Do you pilot very much? If you circle the area for a minute you can usually see the muzzle flash or MG tracers from the sky and pinpoint it that way.

Have an engineer squad equipped. Build an AA. If your argument is that its not counterable simply because you don’t wish to be bothered to equip something to counter it, then your point is invalid.
As long as there actually is a way to counter something, the point is moot.

Actually with 2 people using artillery strikes, its 60 seconds between, as their individual cooldowns are 2 minutes. 1/minute is more than enough to keep an enemy suppressed or break down fortifications, especially when like I said, there is no way to stop it if the radio operators are hiding underground.
