Player Rating Match-Making Before Steam release

To prevent the complete annihilation of new casual players from steam and possible negative reviews I recommend the following:

From Private to Colonel
and
From Brigadier General to Marshall

So even at the start of a BP Season, the best players can get to Brigadier General in as few as 25 matches. Then they can play against players in their league with bot fillers for them to farm.

BR 1 - 2 would give the low level players time to learn the game mechanics, practice and get better tier gear so they can make more silver at tier 3.

BR III-V matches should give a Silver bonus of
BR3 = +100% (For the challenge)
BR4 = 75%
BR5 = 50%(As an incentive)

Because things are quite expensive at higher tiers

When it’s too easy it gets boring fast, when it’s almost impossible to win it’s not worth playing and people just leave to more balanced games (of which there are many on steam)

This is a great game, lets not push away potential allies and opponents. We don’t want this game to die do we?

Agree.

Plus BRs 1 and 2 should not be allowed to participate in events. That’s basically consistent thing in basically evey other game. That low BRs/tiers can’t do events. So seal clubbers are not rewarded for playing them.

Great point, I agree, it would also incentivize or motivate new players to get tiered up faster.

idk what kind of influx of players are you expecting from steam, but i dont believe it will significantly change current numbers. just look at other games and influx of players they got from getting published on steam.

having separate MM for them will just make them worse players for playing with bots in first x matches and i wouldnt be surprised if people quit cause of shit easy matches cause they wouldnt even know that they are playing with bots.

They could bust out a few BR1 only maps. 1938-1939 Japan vs Russia, add a BR1 desert map, a BR1 Malaysia map. Then the new steam players won’t have to see the horrors we have.
