Player endorsement

A system where you can endorse 1 teammate and 1 enemy player (or only one of these at a time) after a match. It could give like a 0.1 modifier, or every number of endorsements it would give you an order. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy but I think it would make the players look on stuff from the bright side. You would have to think about who did well at the end of the match making your experience from the match overall better since you end up with thinking about the good stuff + if would reward people for not being toxic or being helpful in game.
I just finished a game where I had beautiful dog fights with enemy pilot and when he was shot down, he didn’t suicide or leave the plane, he took it like a champ and went down with his ship. We both waited for the other to drop bombs so we didn’t spawn right behind them on their way back. I feel like moments like these are when I want to reward the enemy player somehow and show him that being honorable, skillful, nice, is rewarding. The same goes for friendly players that help out newbies in the chat, or single-handedly hold the objective for the rest of the team to arrive.

That sound like good idea that could bring some positivity to the community. +1 from me

Any positive communication would be great. Had a load of matches that I wanted to give a gg wp or point out something amazing that the enemy team did but had no way of showing it. Endorsements sounds like a great way to get some extra interaction without the drawbacks of chatting with opponents.

So what you’re saying is he wasted valuable time in order to watch himself going down instead of respawning immediately to help his team further and have a faster and potentially more substantial impact on the game.

So what you’re saying is instead of playing the game and shutting down the enemy to either avoid them dealing damage or minimize their impact, you allowed each other to farm the infantry.

Disgusting behaviour.

We need a report button for people who are in the air and don’t engage enemy planes even though they know they are up.

Dude every time I see some threat go negative you are there to instigate it.

What I’m saying is he had fun in a videogame, didn’t abuse not tuned mechanics, and let other people mechanics.

Owl you seem to loose argue in every single post, be toxic, then shut up and move to another post to be toxic.

let other people have fun*

Respawning is a normal mechanic. Wasting 5-10 seconds to watch yourself go down is a horrible waste of time for both yourself and more importantly, it is a waste of time for your team. Respawning immediately is much more valuable.

It’s not a “not tuned” mechanic.

I get that this makes 0 sense for you as you wouldn’t get a single one for being non toxic but other people like to have fun

Yeah, its such a normal mechanic that if you shoot down a plane, the player can instantly spawn literally on your tale, with no warning. Just right behind you in a brand new plane and shoot you down imminently. Good mechanic, hope they add more of these “good” mechanics that make the game “fun” to play

It is what it is. Allowing other pilots to go all the way back, re-arm, nuke your team while you watch is nothing short of griefing.

That kind of behaviour should be punished, not rewarded.

They should add one where if you destroy a tank or kill a soldier, the whole squad just spawns behind you

Yeah it is what it is, a not tuned mechanic. We didn’t let each other rearm, we just didn’t attack in a way that would make us spawn right behind them in a new plane. We would intercept each other and bomb as well normally. Also 2 planes that “grief” as you say it, means that you have 2 players that are having fun, while not affecting other players since both teams planes are doing it.

Also the report mechanic is already there, be free to use it everytime you see someone enjoy the game. This post is however about rewarding players, not a report button.

So what you’re saying is that you freely let each other bomb instead of immediately shutting down before the other person can do any damage to the team. Ergo, griefing.

Players should not be rewarded for griefing.

Yeah. Thank god that wasn’t griefing!

Except by definition, it was. Instead of playing the game, you both allowed each other to bomb instead of shutting each other down.

Griefing by definition, you don’t need rewards for that, you need a temp ban for that.

I’ll make this the last answer to you since it goes the same way every post. Someone suggests something, hell even the simplest most harmless thing in the world, and you come rushing in, being toxic and posting the same irrelevant argument over and over till everyone reading develops a dementia.

  1. We didn’t let each other bomb, thats why I used the word “intercept”. We only wouldn’t attack during a bomb run if it meant spawning behind the opponent which is abusing a broken mechanic.

  2. Who exactly did we harm by doing that? Who was the sorry soul who had their immersion destroyed, their game butchered, their experience ruined? No one. We both played the game, we flew planes, we shot down planes, we bombed the ground. Is that not playing the game?
  3. You get a game without any planes, you get games where you have one bomber decimating a single team the whole game, you have games where 80% of players are AI bots who are running into a wall outside the objective. This is where you draw the line? Aight.

Almost as if someone here is butthurt that he can’t be toxic on every single thread, or even worse, butthurt that other people will get rewarded for being positive.

The people playing infantry and tanks that got bombed and killed in a situation that could’ve been avoided entirely had you played the game and done your job to establish air superiority instead of focusing on not doing your job.

This behaviour doesn’t need “endorsements.” It’s disgusting.
