I don`t know how you guys feel in the game, as I played both soviet and germen. Besides the advantage of fire power, german planes are way more dumb with mobility and armor. Even max level of BF109 is not able to handle a dog fight. Sometimes I shoot the soviet planes with full 600 +200 rounds and they still have faster speed and mobility, while soviet planes can take down german planes quite easily.

The same thing happens to me, I use German planes and when I fill the enemy American or Soviet plane with bullets I have to reload and spend all the ammunition again to shoot them down, and when I play with an American or Soviet plane I only have a few accounts. any suggestions aim better or something?
It happends in normandy as well, dont worry, yeah I know that historically the bf 109 wasnt very resistant to dmg but here feels to absurd, I hope its just a bug cuz I dont think is fun bringing a bf 109, that is not really that good at air supporting, then is neither really that good at dog fights, even if you use the bf 109 g 10 you can literally just shoot most american planes your entire 20mm bullets and they wont even slow down, doesnt matter if you hit the engines, no fires at all, and then sometimes you randomly kill the pilot, also the P-47 tanking 37 mm rounds from the BF 110 is really really stupid and anoying cuz again, is not only tanking the rounds its just like not slowing down as well, he also just turns arround, gets in your back and 2 shots you, it really sucks, and on top of that most german planes dont have that much ammo to begin with, some times you can go reload 3 times and shoot all of your bullets at a fucking A 20 before he goes down, in general it feels pretty shitty and punishing to use fighters as a german, you know you are renouncing to have a good score on the match by using it most of the time, then it does struggle to get the job done in the air any way, and some times you shoot down some one and you dont even get the kill lol it just says “random mf killed himself” that or some random bot shoot at the plane and got the kill that you just chased like by 3 minutes
There is damage drop off, there are also a whole load of posts about planes and shooting tips, even by me… to help out new players.
Only use cannons at close range, twice the size of your gunsight, the latest update also tweaked damage models, but practice, there is also the issue of lag of either player in planes, I think that could be a factor too
