I understand why planes take a long time to level, they can only be played once or twice per game usually and MOST of the time (unless you have a communicative team) don’t end up giving you many kills. Because of this, it takes an absurd amount of time to level up planes. This is why they need some sort of boost to XP, at least in the Moscow campaign it is very difficult to do very well with a plane as compared to an assaulter or tank squad, this is because they go so fast that you often cant even see much movement on the field before you’re forced to drop bombs.

Unless they are Axis - those are easy - but alied planes with their pathetic CAS loads are hard - teh fighters are essentially impossible.

Most planes that don’t have good CAS weapons (most American and Soviet vehicles) are hard to level up because well killing only enemy planes and a bit infantry doesn’t give that much XP…

Axis planes have excellent CAS - even their single engined fighters carry 250kg bombs.

Planes especially the Allied planes takes a lot of luck. Good pilots won’t have an issue with them tho. And its best to play alongside with friends if you trying to level the planes so that you can ask them to mark tanks and that will give you extra squad XP. Also, premium helps a lot when trying to level the planes.
A lot of grind nevertheless but I don’t think levelling them up does anything really. There is a ton of time before you unlock the next plane. You’ll have the whole tree unlocked by then.
i understand, but it still takes probably 5-10x longer to level them up compared to an ordinary infantry squad even if you are a good pilot.
