Planes limits

Hi, I think it’s something bugged with planes limit, becouse when we start limit for the plane in team is 1. But sometimes when I’m fighting 1vs2 axes planes, but my friend in the team can’t pick second plane becouse of limit. You can win 1vs2 when they are bot, but when they play good, you dont have chance. It’s not fair, when 2 guys focused you. I think they should give limit 1 or 2, but when is 1 all team should have 1 plane, not 2.

You can have one fighter plane and one atack plane, two in total. You and your friend probably used the same type of plane, that’s why you couldn’t fly together.

Ah, okay, but when your teammates can’t pick a different plane, but the enemy team might still have no chance. You can play solo, but if your team does not have, for example, an attack plane, you will still lose in the air. So it can give you a limit of 2, but with no difference to the type of plane?

Then everybody will fly with the plane with the most bombs. If you played normandy, you can imagine the hell on the ground it would cause.

for me, there may also be a limit set to 1, but 2vs1 is a big problem when you playing plane.

Hardly ever enemy uses fighters so it’s not often you will have this problem.

and even if they use it it is used as a dive bomber

this is also due to the fact that most planes seem to be more armored then the tanks ingame you can easily ram half your ammo into a damned IL2 and it still wont go down

20mm canons do the job but anything smaller is worthless.

Even with 20mm it’s hard sometimes, in battle for berlin the stuka or bf109 with the 20mm can plink away at the enemy planes without much in the way of results but my friend who bought the premium plane for the axis with the 30mm will shred through enemies with that.

They already tried that, actually. It lasted what, a couple days before being hotfixed away due to how problematic it was?
Generally speaking the balance in the air game is pretty screwy, since some factions have fighters with exceptionally strong ground attack capabilities, while others have fighters with none, and some attack planes have respectable air to air potential, while others have no usable anti air weapons at all. However, opening it up to “Each side launches nothing but bombers” or “Everyone launches only fighters” isn’t really a good solution to that.

I often (Today was the most recent) see 2 P-38s in the air at the same time in Normandy. They are probably 2 different models but both are fighters.

If I remember correctly, one of allied planes is a fighter but in game it is considered a bomber. It might be this one.
But I don’t remember tbh.

Uh? In what campaign? In Moscow a fighter will pop AS SOON as someone on the ground spots bombs, any side. Effectively limiting attackers planes to a single run or two.

They’re so aggressive. But at least there’s no bomb spam anymore!

Ok, so Normandy is an intellectual desert.
Not a big surprise.

Yeah - the P38E is clased as an attacker - it’s a real PITA for the allies because when someone has it u can’t get an A20 or P47, and it has only the same armament as hte P38J - 6 rockets, 4 MG and 1 cannon

Not my experience- hardly ever see 109’s in Moscow. I take the Yak-1 quite a lot, becauses it is my lowest xp squad and needs more experience, whether there’s axis aircraft or not!

The E version is late game Tunisia, not Normandy.
Normandy has the “G” and “J” versions…all are classed as fighters, at least all 3 use fighter
pilots, not sure that it’s documented in game which slot they use.

change the limit to 2 planes just like we have 2 tanks and if it fks balance then re balance things till it doesn’t

given how people are limited to 1 vehicle squad unless they pay for more it is quite frankly idiotic to expect teams to bring both types of planes especially since you have to unlock them separately
