I know there have been calls for the plane kill system rework since people now jump out or suicide to prevent you from getting the kill + when the plane hits the ground or falls into the ocean sometimes it doesn’t even count the plane itself. Similar thing when you damage a plane and the enemy pilot just deliberately crashes to deny you the kill. This could be easily fixable by making it so that when player dies of suicide/natural causes after being hit OR his vehicle by an enemy it gives the kill to said enemy.
Today however I encounter another way to kill the enemy plane that the system doesn’t register as a kill. If you outmaneuver an enemy and make them crush. I understand this would be hard to implement into the game, but at least a partial solution would be to count it as a kill if you are hit by someone who then dies/suicides.
I totally agree, I encountered this behavior on Enlisted way too many times. It shouldn’t be hard to fix this issue, as it is already the case on War Thunder. However, I do have to say that I’ve seen few pilots just killing themselves as soon as you started to chase them down, in this case it would be decently fair to reward the player that was chasing him, but how? That will definitely be harder. In War Thunder, if you decide to kill yourself, the closest enemy to your position will get the kill. So, if we add this system on Enlisted, it could mean that there’s a chance that a guy playing as infantry on the ground could get the kill out of nowhere, as the enemy pilot commited suicide near his position.
Hopefully, my second point happens rarely. So, just to sum it up, as sad as it is, players aren’t always fair on Enlisted. The fact that you’re able to take their plane down, but not getting the kill on the pilot is totally unfair. Adding the system that you mentioned is doable, and unfortunately necessary.
It’s actually a little bit worse than that, it turns out if you equip an smg on your pilot and get shot down you can eject turn 180 degrees and shot down the very same plane that shot you down AND kill them all before hitting the ground. Now I’ll be honest this isn’t something that happens often … but it does happen so as long as their even a slim chance of vengeance people will be incentivized to bail and return fire with small arms. to

same , suiciding here to save time. why should i even try and dodge a fighter in my bomber when hes on my tail. the second i get shot i pull up and suicide. aint gonna sit 15-30 seconds waiting for the plane to crash lol
