if they crash their plane they get a spawn penalty it’ll take longer for them to get the plane again if they do it enough times they’ll get banned from using planes for that match.

How would you determine what was a suicide attack and what was a failed pull-up?
Especially if you’re used to how planes fly in WT, the planes in Enlisted feel very… bad. And it is easy to crash when you were 100% certain you’d be able to avoid the ground/trees/buildings.
Also, if some bot plinks your aircraft with a bolt-action just before you suicide into the ground, giving kill to said bot after impact with ground… would it still be punished?

both are equally detrimental to your team especially for the attackers because you loose tickets I’m a really good pilot in Enlisted I crash sometimes too but I think I should still be punished for it. I’m saying ban repeat offenders who are clearly doing it on purpose but only punish accidentals if you crashed your plane in real life would you get off with a slap on the wrist and do better next time
Nah they’d take your wings especially if you did it on purpose.

Allow me to “retire” the plane without suiciding into the ground.
as In I can fly back to base and “despawn” with some additional bonus depending on how many kills I scored versus the damage I sustained to my aircraft.

Considering that the ammunition is used up, the pilot should also be able to return home. If the aircraft has been hit and cannot be controlled, the pilot should also have the ability to jump off the plane and open the parachute.
Not really a solution. The pilot will gain more than their targets gain in that scenario.
The reason attackers suicide is because it’s harder to stop them that way. So also not really a solution.
Simply put, death needs to be discouraged for pilots.
