Pick up grenades, mines and repairing tools from dead soldiers

So I know quite a lot of player are afraid of turning the game to BF4 metro map with ability to resupply grenades, I understand them.
But I suggest to at least add ability to pick up grenades from fallen enemies or squad members. It`s really annoying (especially for new player who doesent have a ton of grenade pouches) that when your AI squad member die to some random bullet because it as usual doesent want to hide from enemy fire you can no longer use, for example that one tnt that youve gave to this soldier in case of enemy tank appearing. So as result you have almost full and alive squad but without one specialized tool that youve gave to specific soldier.
Please, add ability to pick up grenades, mines and repairing tools from dead mates or enemies.

I would also like the ability to pick up secondary weapons from fallen allies. Bazooka, etc.

Yeah, agree.
I think if youd implement this mechanics as it is right now game whould be overpopulated with weapons scattered around and affecting perfomance ( Im not developer, I dont know exactly how much whould it affect ).
I suggest to implement it next way:
Current weapon in hands drops as physical object on death.
And when somebody interacts with dead body they either see small menu where theyd select which gadget to pick up, or simply you pick up all equipment from dead soldier by holding F button on his dead body, thatd be much quicker and at pace with overall gameplay.

technical performance issue

Please read my comment above regarding perfomance side

I assume the same menu as for squad controls and etc may be used, since this 2D UI been used for such very important feature as BattlePass posters.

I’ve had the same thought. If I were in a meatgrinder like WW2, you bet your behind that I’d check bodies for grenades if there was a lull in combat.

However, it’d get ridiculous real quick. If they did this, it should be no more than a one or two time thing per life. It could also just be grabbed from ammo boxes, to prevent performance issues from extra objects being scattered over the map. And only with regular grenades, no special ones, to prevent defenders from all spawning in as engineers and building two dozen ammo crates and just making it rain grenades

That means more white phosphorus grenades

I’m going to have to say absolutely NOT.

The thing is, grenade spam is already an issue. I understand that as a newer player you don’t have access to grenade pouches, and but that really isn’t a problem. Make better use out of the grenade you do have. Branch out and use other grenade types.

Trust me, if you were able to pick up a secondary weapon there would be 2 major issues:

  1. There would be too many weapons on the ground. You would spend more time trying to get the right weapon picked up and probably get killed in the process.
  2. That is there for BALANCE reasons. If you could walk forward and pick up a flamethrower for example, then flamethrowers would be even more of a problem than they already are. In addition, if you pick up say a MG from the ground right now with a non-specialized character (rifleman, assaulter, anything with a second weapon slot available) it goes to the second weapon slot unless you drop your other weapon first. This means that upon death, that weapon won’t drop. It keeps strong weapons from simply passing from one hand to the next. Like I said, its for balance purposes.

No objects scattered around the map, read my comment above about 2d menu on dead character

In this case itd be nice to add it at least for your squad members. For example I like to take one soldier equiped with tool box in case if I find empty vehicle, but I cant use this tool box if this exact soldier randomly dies, and I wont give tool box to each squad member for “just in case”.

As I said, Im not talking about resupplying them, Im talking about picking up from dead bodies. You wont be able to spam them, since youll have to spare fair amount of time to search for bodies equiped with them and interacting with inventory menu of this dead body.
I suggest this feature rather for specific usage for player who dont like to break their immersion via dying to get more ammo.

Players are less concentrate to play around the point also they need 1 hour from 1 point to another. Now imagine if they start searching grenades mines and repairing tool… no ty

You acquire the “small backpack” pretty early on. So if you really want to carry some tools your best option is to grab these and packing a toolbox in addition to the medkit. If you have perks like “+200% medkit heal”, and “+75% medkit use speed” you can usually keep them alive easier.

Once you get the Large Backpacks, which also aren’t terribly far down the line, you can pack even more medkits. If you have the perk “increased chance of being knocked rather than killed” this can keep your soldiers alive for a pretty long time.

My point is, the options are there. I am not in favor of your suggestion as it just makes infantry so much more powerful than they already are, in a way that is game breaking.
