Perk System Overhaul

The perk system has a bunch of perks that should either be buffed, reworked or just straight up removed. Perk build variety and the amount of viable choices suffers because of that. I will list my choices:

To be replaced with something new

  1. Weapon aim speed – Purely visual effect, so basically incredibly expensive for absolutely nothing (misleading/not fully explained info as well). It tricks player, especially newbies.
  2. Aim stability after taking damage – This perk is just not worth taking in any scenario on any class.
  3. Breath holding time – Perk has the same problem as aim stability.
  4. Horizontal recoil – Again, never worth taking this perk for just about any weapon, especially since they buffed overall prone recoil reduction (not sure if only on mgs, but that is probably the only weapon one might even consider this for)

To be buffed/reworked

  1. Health regen perk – First of all, not explained enough in game, it has a limit of 3hp recovered in total, going up to 6hp when upgraded. Quite often, even after you fully recover, you are still one shot to many weapons. The faster game pace does not allow to effectively use this as well. People only take this on tankers since there is nothing else to take.
  2. Grenade throwing range – Most people avoid it since there is the problem of muscle memory which could cause you to overthrow explosion packs over tanks for example. I would not necessarily remove it, but I think it needs some change and even then most people still might avoid it, so this maybe should have been in the “replaced” category".
  3. Downed chance – Another incredibly misleading perk (seems to be a recurring issue), you only need one upgrade to get the downed chance buff, the extra crawling is incredibly useless. That makes it another trap, and all the other 4 upgrades are bait.
    4*) Jump height – Was not sure if I should include this, but there seems to be no reason for the second upgrade. The first upgrade allows you to reach certain windows and jump over wire, but the second just seems like bait.

Special case
Vitality – every soldier is basically required to take this. Shouldn’t soldiers that could take it, just have the extra hp innately, as a stat, and soldiers that can’t, just have it lower. Example; riflemen all have 13.5 health when fully leveled, AT soldiers would have 10. Hp should grow through leveling your soldiers up.

I encourage you to reccomend new perks or rebalances of the mentioned ones, even unmentioned.
