Perk Retraining

With the perk retraining system introduced the development blog said “we will change the way you switch perks. You will be able to swap them at any time at the cost of dropping 1 rank level. A lost rank level can be regained easily in battles - and new perk learned.”

Yet when I want to retrain a perk 1 of the 3 options is always the old perk. If I would want the keep the old perk I apparently wouldn’t press to retrain.

My suggestion is to make it a real retrain if you are willing to sacrifice the XP and present 3 NEW options.

Question is if you still have “Retraining Points” on your soldier, then it will work the old way untill you use them all, after that if you still want to switch perk it will start to use new perk system.

I believe what you are describing is the old option of “Retraining points” that is going to disappear (you can only use the retraining points you have accumulated, but not get others).

The new optrion does not you give the opportunity to kepp the current perk.

This said, I am perfectly good with the option of keeping the old perk, because often the new ones which are proposed are not better than the old one.

Personally I doubt that I have any “retraining points” left. I’m rather new to this game - just long enough to have seen the old system getting replaced by the new one. So where should these come from?

The game essentially encourages you to get rid of old perks and to level up again. In this regard it’s only fair that “keeping the old perk” doesn’t take away a slot - Otherwise good luck trying to train your tankers/pilots with anything vehicle related…
