War is war. It was and is, it’s how humanity always worked. It happens not because someone is evil, it doesn’t happen without a reason, and reasons are always economical.
But I can say, that since 40s there was no straight wars between superpowers.
So, I’d say, the only way to live in peace is having 3-5 huge empires instead of shitton of small countries, all having nukes, all capable of destroying the world if they’ll start losing, so they’ll never start the war knowing that’ll be guaranteed suicide for every of them.

Actually, I’m not even joking. Huge countries don’t depend on someone else’s resources or factories. And, as I said, they just can’t start a conflict with other superpower without a risk of nuclear holocaust.
That also means billions of people having the same culture and language, which is good.
