Used to be 20k mission points, now 35k mission points is only 1/5th of the progress it previously did.

im probably going to get the squads and then just stop playing until the next one, even with lowered task points it feels excessive and repetitive

Also 10 battles? I used to do it in 4-5. Sometimes even 3.

hard pass for me. Thanks to the mess during the last 2 weeks, I lost my squadmates who returned to WT. Especially since I can resell my items there with less effort.
So I will do the same…there’s no reason to endure Vets that will play in BRIII so they got downtiered to farm newbies with bolts.

i think thats the problem though, they arent that special, why must anyone that want to have them spend so much time grinding. I speak as a collector, these squads seem basic enough that having to spend so much time just seems weird

Since in f2p game, it’s always either your time or your money.

True but i liked getting them by playing max 5 matches every two days. Too pricey otherwise. Just not worth it most cases.

me too, but here’s the thing…
If you fight semi-autos and full autos in BRI because of the bad matchmaking system, it quickly becomes frustrating.
Not only because you’re at a disadvantage, but also because new players don’t have the experience that BRIII players have. It’s basically 5-star soldiers with a decked out squad and autos against 1 star newbies who just picked up the game. Thanks to this decision, I had people quit.
Some might claim that it’s just as it was before, which of course is only 1/4 of the truth, because before I could use my BRIII stuff to fight, now I have to use my BRI stuff to fight BRIII stuff, as I refuse to take part in the mess that BRIII is actually: Either you get a BRV match and might get stomped, or you get a BRI match and stomp newbies.
Now, I’m someone who understands that stomping newbies will just make them quit as it’s very frustrating, thus I play BRI (and also because my squad is only BRI). After all, it shouldn’t be the wish of the community to disgust new players. Vet’s shouldn’t abuse the system, yet they do and increase the gatekeeping for newbies…so that later they can cry that “the playerbase is too small”.
Long story short, the last 2-3 days have been very frustrating, and with WT’s winter event, I have people go back to the less frustrating game.

Imo they should really do the WT concept of max 1 br uptier.Br 1 seas only 1,2
Br 2 sees only 1,2,3
3 sees only 2,3,4
4 sees only 3,4,5
5 sees only 4,5
All not counting what smaller stuff you bring along your lineup.
Still, too much specific task hunting for like a month for me. 20k in 2 days was waaaay better.
From 2500 score unlimited(last year) to 20k, +4 extra task… Enlisted player has fricking gold fish memory I swear…
