Paratroopers

Nerf the American paratroopers as playing any German campaign in Normandy makes the game feel less fun as having to deal with everyone on the enemy side having assault rifles, 100 mag Thompsons, and lmgs that one tap you aren’t fun to go against. They need to be nerfed to where they count as a plane spawn in so that people can actually have to wait their turn instead of spamming them.

Enlisted paratroopers are like Halo-ODST soldiers.
Precision deployments, right in the middle of a raging battlefield.

i am not against nerfing paratroopers, just i am against making distinction with american/german… most of the complaints recently is nerf opposing faction and not nerf paratroopers.

Yeah I’ve noticed.

I think paratroopers shouldn’t be allowed to land within the area or area around the capture zone. Having them land right on the objective is ridiculous.

if battle of crete and that other soviet battle (cant remember name) paratroopers were massacred when they jumped right in middle of battle. so i agree. i think that they should have exclusion zone just like rally points… if you cant build rally points in that zone, you cant drop paratroopers there…

As of paratroopers:

  1. Their transport plane must to be marked as any other enemy plane (red triangle + a crosshair for aiming).

  2. Their supply crate must be available to mark by pressing “V” - same like enemy ammo box.

  3. They should be not available in the first minute of the game (same as the planes).

  4. They should cannot spawn if the enemy has active fighter plane above the objective
    (same as the player cannot spawn at the rally with enemies nearby)

  5. They may be restricted to 2- 3 active squads per team, but I am not sure.

Everything else is OK.

Plane could also spawn further back and have to come from the same direction as other planes on the team

it’s from that horrible AI-generated trailer HLL dropped a couple of weeks ago.
It was so bad they had to apologies afterwards.

They way they hold their weapons is so cursed

They died because the defence knew how to fight, 99.9% of the playerbase doesn’t even know they’re in a war

the thing that I agree the most is that the box shoul be able to be marked, and maybe the transport plane be marked as other planes, the other points, are a bit to much, maybe the right aproach would be just to restrict a bit the air deployment and enhance the ground deployement, like if you have a enemy figther in the air you cannot air drop, but if you use ground deployement you would be able to have your box or to choose a ladout without the box

One reason that the Paratroopers in Crete were mascaraed was that they dropped separately than their weapons.

No, we’ve had multiple complaints like this over the last few months, and they’re all the same. Specifically, people only seem to care about the US paras and not the class as a whole.

Paras are ok as it is. They offer a new route for attacking teams and prevent the enemy from creating chokepoints.

The issues lie with the class as whole. The biggest problem is they spawn too quickly and they can be combat ready on the ground too quickly as well. Therefore, the solution is to increase the time the plane takes to reach the drop zone, and add an animation such as cutting their parachute to lengthen their vulnerability on the ground, which in turn discourages players from using them carelessly and wasting their teams tickets.

These changes would be applied to all squads of the class, not just the ones you don’t like.
