Paratroopers should, just like radios, not be able to deploy close to the objective

dropping into your enemies flank = cool mechanic

dropping literally on top of the objective = bad mechanic

just adding a 50 - 100 meters dead zone near objectives would be enough to stop this nonsense.

Tactical talking, drop Paratroopers in a Fortified zone is suicidal.

what makes you right IS, how say it,s fortified? it may be a epty capture zone, THEN you sujestion makes all sence.

+1

It should be suicide, but often it is not.
If your squad holds a capture point and all of the sudden two or three full squads drop out of nowhere without any warnings right on top of you, it is much harder to deal with that than to fight off 3 slowly advancing squads.

It is very easy to overrun an objective by simply dropping on top of it.

Especially when the whole paratrooper squad is armed with 100 round SMG’s and MG’s.

The only backline you would be droping into would be your very own as with a radius of 50 to 100 meter beeing blocked around the cap there would be no spot left that is outside the greyzone aswell.

Edit: Atleased on some maps

not true, your main base spawn is most often 100 - 200 meters away from the objective, depending on the campaign of course though.

Have you every hear of that fantastic feature that is called a greyzone?
Have fun trying to jump into it

dude, flanks are not protected by grey zone.

Jumping into the capture zone isn’t always a washout. It all depends on the flow of the battle. I’ve jumped onto the objective a couple of times and I was wiped almost immediately because the enemy had a great defense

It’s a balance between player skill vs enemy skill

Be mindful of the people who paid top-dollar for the priveledge of being able to magically spawn anywhere on the battlefield.

Including, but not limited to:
-rooftops
-on top of multi-story sniper-towers
-on top and behind enemy tanks (which is often a free vehicle kill because the tanker has no way of knowing that elite paratroopers have magically spawned from above).
-behind enemy lines, and instantly having access to enemy rally points (where AP mines and barbwire can be spammed for free kills or engineer XP)
-Attacking paratroopers can also spawn ahead of the defending team, after an objective moves. So while the defenders are spawning from their new position, and have to sprint 200 yards to the objective that needs defended… the paratroopers are already there capping, and slaughtering all the defenders who are trying to sprint back and defend. (And when this happens, there’s not even enough time for defenders to build a rally point.)

In summary: The way these elite paratroopers have been implemented into the game, is completely stupid and entirely fantasyland. But who cares when there’s money to be farmed from the whales :whale: :moneybag: :money_with_wings:.

I don’t know about other stuff but this is 100% right.

Paratroopers are way too much fantasy than they need to be.
They could have been much more realistic and still usefull.

As one defending you have the sfx of the aa gun simulation around the para plane.
Few secs of para dropping to demolish the para Atack, it’s a viable tactic.
And, above all, it’s a verticaly issue for op. I dont entirely agree paras demolish a game, but I think its a nice opportunity to change ways one battle around a point.

Adapt and paras won’t be such an issue.

Paras are completely OP, don’t fool yourself.

Advancing, pushing, breaking the frontlines and getting to the objective is the core of the gameplay - every step closer to the objective is a fight and there is always a price to be payed.

You have to earn every inch of the battlefield.

Paratroopers completely break the core of the game if they can just appear ontop of the objective or ontop of the enemy spawn - > and they don’t have to sacrifice anything whatsoever for this.
What downside do they have? Less fire power? Small squad size? Bad perks? Lack of pioneers? Less flexibility? No AT weapons?

No, instead they perform excellent in all those fields - or even better having more vitality than other troops.

Exactly. It would be a little different if defenders were able to actually adequately set up defenses, but 49/50 games that simply isn’t the case.

Paratroopers drop in, stop defenders from being able to hold the line at all, and cause it to get overrun by all forces very quickly.

If we could properly seal off frontal or flank entry points, and make better use of killzones and mines, it wouldn’t be such an issue, but currently, defenders aren’t even told where their next objective is going to be, let alone have any time to set up.

i love unreachable high places :smirk:
if your “not be able to deploy close to the objective”
trash that option
i will go mad :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

out of 10 games in 1-2 you see paratroopers…

Also pay 50 dollars for them and not be able to fall wherever you want… what you say makes no sense xD

It is part of the strategy, plus any player with hands clears a unit of paratroopers before they fall to the ground.

Not to mention that when they fall they remain stopped without being able to move for a few thousandths of seconds xD I once killed an entire unit of parachutists when they hit the ground and they couldn’t do anything.

It depends entirely on the skill of the user, no unit does magic xD

It’s not to defend the company, I’ve been waging war with every post since I created my account, but when something doesn’t make sense, it doesn’t xD

Do you want something broken? Play tanks in Moscow using the Axis army. Russian tanks are immortal and explode German tanks 20 higher levels in 1 shot.

You have plane sounds and AA gun sounds as warnings if they land on defended points, use the flamethrower to turn them into barbecue falling from the sky, use cancer to fight another cancer. :relieved:

Neither paying money nor them being rare is a justification for them being OP
