After first unlocking it and testing it at the range one thing immediatly crossed my mind. “this rocket travels slower than my grandma!” So I did a quick google search and according to Wikipedia it had a velocity of 45m per second which is twice that of the ingame anti tank launcher! Now the reason I bring this up is since 25m per second is pathetic and im wondering if this was on purpose or if the devs made a mistake here. So im asking reguarding that “are you sure thats correct?” The reason I say this is due to the fact that rocket launchers projectiles move extremely fast but the panzerfaust is already one of the slower launcher projectiles of WW2, now when it actually comes to the shaped charge… Well the only tanks in WW2 that could really counter shaped charges are ones with spaced armor such as the german T34 with matress frames stuck onto the side or the german panzer 4 with side skirts. When I think about it this could be a great gameplay opportunity. So not everybody just rushes the panther and gives players a reason to play the Panzer 4. Since the Panzerfaust(according to wikipedia) had an armor penetration of 200mm (also if your skeptical about Wikipedia its usually checked/edited by lots of people so if there are mistakes than they usually get fixed. but if your still not convinced Wikipedia has cituations and sources listed!)
On the subject of Anti tank, Using the boys AT rifle against infantry is fun! but when it comes to actually using it to kill tanks, its upsetting. IMO the best course of action would be to make the sight picture bigger(like a lot bigger) especially when holding the mouse button. Since I dunno if you guys have any experience with tank hunting. But Effectively hunting tanks(especially since the devs thought it would be a good idea to give the germans the panther tank…) Takes percise aiming! Especially when your an infantryman.
Also when it comes to future anti tank stuff. Im not really a fan of how the battlefield series handles infantry vs tank gameplay. So the current damage model is fine. Since using hitpoints like in World of tanks or armored warfare makes tank battles just whomever could hit their target the most and fastest. A good example is heroes and generals where a tiger 2 tank takes like 4-8 panzerfuast/bazooka shots! As for the Boys AT rifle… I haven’t actually been able to kill a single tank with it yet and seeing as there are no upgrades for it/different ammo types I am a bit disapointed. I like the PIAT as much as the next guy but I really wish the Boys would get a buff.
With the Boys AT I also wanna bring up the fact that bipods in Enlisted are kind of bad if not the worst implementation of bipods ive seen. their not entirely unusable! but its kind of hard to “mount weapon” in a super heated gunfight and if you ask me weapons should get substantial recoil reduction in prone already. The reason I don’t suggest the devs buff the armor penetration of the Boys AT is since the major reason its underpowered is the sights on the weapon. From that field of view I can’t really hit anything unless I hold mouse 2 and lean in like SUPER close to my screen. even then its a pain to use since its hard to see the tip of the sight in that insanely small sight picture!
