How does one obtain this tank if it is not in the chest but shows up locked on my Tanker squad list?

Yeah, I really envy people who bought the Stalingrad pack back then. The BR2 on this tank is absolutely great.
Too bad the premium Panzer III N, which has never been put back on sale even once to this day, never got such treatment.

Yeah, pre-merge if you paid to have full access to the Stalingrad campaign and progressed through the tank.

it’s not that different than the PzIV E anymore if I recall. Maybe a better MG but otherwise basically the same.

Well, he has add-on armor. For Soviet vehicles at BR 2.0, you either get the T-50 with its weak 45mm gun at 2.7, or the thin-armored T-28/E at 2.3 with the 76mm gun that lacks penetration.
With drop markers available, this fast-loading Panzer III N at 3.3 is basically like an add-on armor version of the short 75mm Panzer IV E. It’s really strong.
On the Allied side, BR 2.0 tanks are either the open-topped Scott with a painfully slow turret traverse, or British vehicles with terrible shell velocity. Even the premium M24 Chaffee doesn’t get HEAT rounds.
By comparison, the Panzer III N is almost perfect and outclasses every other tank at BR 2.0. That’s why so many people complained and it got moved up to BR 3.0.
Personally, I think this is just because DF doesn’t want to give the Allies and Soviets any good tanks.
When they moved III N to BR3 they gave it better shells. The Stalingrad version doesn’t have those.
Complaining about T28E is sort of silly. That thing is an absolute beast.

But that top mount MG34 is awesome.
I don’t think it’s a huge gamechanger given the relatively small number of players who are active and use this tank. I have it, and have used it a bit in the past 2 weeks (for variety) after not touching it since merge.
