Panzer crew annoying thing

I’m new player, recently unlocked the panzer III B. my tank squad can only have 3 tankers so my panzer doesn’t have enough crew. For some reason the game puts the 3 crew members like this: hull mg guy, driver, and gunner. Shouldn’t gunner, loader, and driver be better, why prioritise hull mg over loader, and is there a way to move the hull mg guy to loader position, because I keep dying because of slow reload, armour not good. Also how do I unlock a tank squad that can actually have 5 crew

Just get thought it ,anyway it won’t take long for you to unlock the rest of your squad.

As a newcomer, you’ll need to unlock tank crew operation skills first, then tank squad-specific skills, and finally vehicle upgrade attributes. This might take some time, but by following this path, you’ll gradually become familiar with Enlisted’s armored vehicles. Finally, remember that Enlisted isn’t War Thunder; tanks, as support vehicles, are initially quite vulnerable. Once you unlock the Panzer IV Ausf. E (short-barreled) tank, using HE shells from a distance to engage infantry will be more effective. After all, the Panzer III’s 37mm gun has limited anti-armor capabilities and is practically useless against infantry

These issues have existed for a long time. Back then, only Japanese tanks featured a controllable gunner slot. Since Japanese tanks lacked coaxial machine guns, DF granted their radiomen the ability to operate the hull machine gun as a balancing measure.

Unfortunately, this change did more harm than good. Nowadays, if the loader gets killed, the surviving radioman will not take over reloading duties. This happens because the playable gunner role has higher priority than the inactive loader position, which is a fundamental issue rooted in the game’s underlying code.

Later, for historical accuracy, this feature was added to other tanks across BR 1 to 3. However, it introduced problems with the loader role. The hull machine gun can now only be fired by the commander, making it nearly useless. This is especially problematic when crew members are downed: players need faster reloads to take out enemy tanks quickly, yet this update prevents gunners from assisting with reloading at all.

Here is something surprising: imagine you are the tank commander, and both your gunner and driver get killed at the same time. Do you know which position the system automatically switches you to? The driver. You are forced to waste time switching roles manually, making an already bad situation even worse.

Instead of complaining here, you should suggest creating a formal poll to push DF into fixing this flaw. This bug frustrates every player.

I created a poll before, focusing solely on Japanese tanks, but the problem still remains unresolved to this day. Now new players like you are running into the same trouble. The only way forward is to voice feedback repeatedly to draw the developers’ attention. More community input may finally lead to improvements in future updates.

This issue still occurs if you lose crewmembers during combat. Hull mg should never be prioritized over commander or loader. I hate how they basically nerfed every br 1 + some br 2 and 3 tanks with this change
