Panther F - BR4 event tank

The Panther F was an old tank that was in game during the very early days of Berlin, but was replaced by the Panther A since it wasn’t historically accurate, but now with the game being more historically based, I think it could make a cool event vehicle as a sidegrade to the Panther A and G. The main difference between the F and the A and G lies in the turret, which is flat and easier to penetrate than the normal panther turret, it has no roof MG, and instead of a coax MG 34 it’s a MG42 (Which IMO is a nerf, since it overheats way too fast even after it was buffed). One big thing though is the cannon, which is named differently and has a faster rate of fire (6.7 seconds compared to 7.4 seconds) while keeping the same preformance of the KwK 42 on the A and G, which is a pretty nice improvement. It might just be a worse panther in most regards except the gun, but I think it would still be interesting to see in game at some point. It’s even drivable in the editor as of right now, it needs some work to it but it’s just about ready to be put in game as is, except for some minor clipping issues while in the commander’s seat.

I actually think this is the best Panther in WT :

It has an optical rangefinder, which is pretty useful and quite rare. Though this is irrelevant for Enlisted

The turret armor is somewhat worse. 120mm is better on paper but it is mostly flat. Only the Mantlet is better as it usually an auto bounce. Nevertheless, it’s like the Panther’s turret armor was any good in the first place.

But it has a significant advantage which is usually overlooked : It has a better firerate.

Oh really, I hadn’t noticed that, thanks for pointing it out! I’ll edit that into the suggestion.

so many neat vehicles in the editor, I really want the hetzer because I used it so much back in heroes and generals

It would make sense to add this together with T44 100- both tanks have good firepower but less armor than current max BR Soviet and German heavy tanks.

Both those vehicles would make high BR gameplay less frustrating because of better mobility, not terrible IS2 reload speed and heavy armor that is less frustrating to deal with.

Well there you go tbh, that’s why it should stay away from the game

Now he can come back, historical accuracy hasn’t existed for a long time if it ever existed lol

This game is literally about WW2, and WW2 is history.

If “historical accuracy hasn’t existed for a long time”, we’d be fighting Nicki Minag on the Moon now.

yes, please

Panther F was show to us in 2021 by official enlisted social media team but unfortunately we haven’t got him after 4 years. Replacing him, was a bad idea.

As far as I know the Panther F Prototypes were produced in WW2 not last week

As far as you know when was Panther F accepted to service, proven to work, and which panzer divisions received it in WW2?

And does that matter to Df? We already have many prototypes, one more won’t make a difference.

And the Ho-Ri, Su-9? How about the RD 44 or AS 44, or pretty much any BP or old gold order weapon. This game has never been 100% historically accurate and we’ve had prototypes in game for a long time, the panther F would be fine

I don’t see the need to ask for more poop even if we’ve been fed a handful of spoons already.

Literally no one says it should be 100% historically accurate.

But the last thing it needs is even more prototypes.

Especially when they serve no actual purpose like balance or whatever, we already have 2 panthers on BR4.

There is absolutely no need for a semi-real 3rd one.

It is the best in WT yes!!! I drive it more there then the panther G that too are my favorite pantheras i wish they bring it back even premium i pay with a quarter on top of it!
And if they give something guys and you need to pay for it, didn’t forgett the quarter:sunglasses::grin:

Actually - I am confusing some of those vehicles from time to time, was it Panther F or Panther II that had the Tiger II long 88?

It’s the Panther 2 that has the 88, the F has the 75mm, I get the 2 confused sometimes as well.
