Bots just stand up and fire with their weapons.
Otherwise this is one of the best squad you can buy in this game.

If you’re a BRV player i’d suggest to set up the squad like this if you have the means
Breda PG (CR) and MKB 42M are core components as for some reasons the bots just go bonkers with them… alternatively the condors could be used and would be better for guys closer.
And even if you aren’t 5 having the radio guy as MG means you call in his strike and he’s free to get sniped like you usually do on MG and the mg’s and and assault are placed in the back because those slots shoot.
You won’t go back… the bots are absolutely devastating.
This was a bot conquest game so nobody went after my guys but 250 of them were from the bots… just shows the power.
So that should answer your question i suppose… yes the bots do fire outside atleast from the back but the first two guys don’t hence the mg and assault placement.

FG 42 Generally… but for some reason the bots go crazy with the breda PG despite it being a rather disliked gun.

historically the design allowed soldiers to stand up and fire their own weapons from the cover of the vehicle, only exposing their heads to enemy.
This is mostly well reflected in the game, though please keep in mind that the AI is not very good (though it does perform better inside vehicles, weirdly) so its better to use this as a mobile rally point rather than driving it into the middle of the objective.
