Pacific Spawns

Is anyone else having an issue with Japan being able to build rallies too close and even beyond the point?

The tactic at the moment seems to be spawn on the point, spray and pray.

I know Japan is stacked at the moment because that’s what the majority of people will be playing for the new content (although there does need to be a solution to the huge swings in player base making some factions unplayable for periods of time) - and I’m not saying there is an inbalance in gear - because I don’t think it makes a real difference, its down to the quality of the teams - but I’ve seen several times rallies that have been built immediately next to the border of objectives, or even defenders that have been able to build rallies in front of the ojective by the gray zone.

Just seems odd.

Yep, desperately needed.
Only problem is that no one knows how to do that, we can’t just ban all the victory farmers.

Rallies are fine, its APC spam that is problematic.
APCs can be parked very close to objectives, sometimes just 5 or 10 meters away in some Pacific maps.

This is a known issue with apcs where they can still be active for respawns 30m+ from an objective. Should be resolved in the future.

Ah I thought the distances were the same for APC to work as rallies - I still see them ‘not active’ for being too close. But I have definitely seen maps where rallies were built literally 2-3 metres from the border of the objective.

Someone suggested recently a front where Russia fought Japan - that would have shared the burden. At moment Allies are suffering what happened to Germany when the Allies had no BR5 opponents, but worse I think.

Some soft rules may be necessary though - a team with groups shouldn’t be matched against a team of solos for example. And I know skill based match making isn’t simple - but its far far more important than gear based matchmaking in this game.

That said, some of the new Japanese weapons may need looking at though - it does often seem like there are just clouds of bullets coming at you from 200 metres half the time. But it could just be the player base issue exaggerating it.

the thing about the Pacific objectives - since release - is that they’re bigger than normal objectives in other campaigns.

In general: when you park an APC it’s the distance to the center of the objective that matters. Sadly. The game doesn’t take into account the radius/how big an objective is.

So the new rule for APCs - availability to park 30m from the center of the objective - means you can park on the outline of it XD

Ah I see - well then that is what should be changed ASAP - the distance should obviously be measured from the edge of the objective rather than the centre! The centre point is irrelevant.

I don’t really care about the distance of the transporter
because they are fragile
Except monkeys will destroy them first
And as long as they’re close enough, I can spend less time looking for them.
