An old event vehicle for the veterans.At the time of the Normandy campaign it fought alongside the P-47D-28. Back then, its pre-nerf M8 rockets were pretty good at mopping up infantry and could even give the Tiger E a run for its money. But ever since the M8s got nerfed, it has been a shadow of its former self. At BR 5, it is pretty much useless now. Maybe if it got dropped down to BR 4, it might actually stand a chance.

I suggest adjusting the BR of the P-47D-22RE to give it more opportunities to see action.

At br 5 it’s a second p47 to cycle. Enough said.

Not possible to cycle without legacy squads. For most people it is totally useless. There are also lot better options like corsair if you want to cycle

The p47 event vehicle was pre merge so if u got it you probably have legacy squads lol

Bold assumption to make. Ppl who can afford to spend a lot on vet boxes probably are also vets with legacy squads.

…can you do math? IL8 has over 2,000lbs of bombs.

This plane has 1 singular 500lb bomb with 6 m8s. We get 6 m8s in br2. M8s suck total ass. Definitely br4 worthy if not br3 honestly. I’d rather 4 hvars or a second 500lb bomb instead of the m8s.

No one is bringing this plane to cycle in br5 lol. Think I’ve only seen 1 once in 2 years of play outside of the one time i tried it. P47 has terrible flying characteristics. Without a decent CAS loadout it’s useless. This plane along with the corsair should both be br4 to fill the gap

I face that plane atleast once every other day, (Pretty much play daily, and don’t always have u.s. in my game) so i don’t agree with you there at all. It pops up extremely frequently. This p47 can be used decent enough, but it’s just not br5 worthy. It wasn’t the second they nerfed m8s. I would bring the x38a over this anyday.

You said, …if the il8 was the standard. I took that as you saying the event p47 loadout was equivalent to/better than two 1k bombs. Which was the first comment under the post. What else is that suppose to mean?

Guess I overreacted. But it’s supposed to mean that seeing as though Il-8s payload is much bigger at I lower BR, that I agree with this change. I’m the 3rd guy who voted ‘yes’. Again, sorry for the overreaction.
