The Piaggio P.108A is an Italian heavy bomber plane modified with a 102mm cannon in 1942. It has no other offensive weapons so it must rely on 12.7mm gunner turrets to protect itself.
I propose adding this vehicle as an event (or premium) because of how unique and interesting it is. Also it would be extremely funny and impractical from how huge and slow it is.
Battle Rating (BR)
The P.108A serie 2 should be BR3 due to its 102mm cannon with 50 spare rounds. This is mostly to prevent BR1 players from being harassed if they don’t have engineers to build AA guns. Otherwise this plane would automatically lose any kind of dogfight even on BR1.
Type / Availability
It should be an event vehicle due to how unique it is. Premium could also work too. This vehicle is more of an impractical joke meant for having fun, so it really wouldn’t work in the tech tree but would make for an intriguing event/premium.
Gameplay Purpose & Role
It would be an attacker plane meant to harass infantry and enemy vehicles on the ground. Although a 102mm cannon makes it seem intimidating, its both extremely massive and slow. A drunk person could reliably shoot it down with an anti-tank rifle, it would get eaten by AA guns, and any other plane in the game could shoot it down.
Regardless, this plane holds the world record for carrying the biggest caliber cannon on an aircraft. That alone makes it really, really funny.
