If it comes down to that, these gentlemen, like most collaborationist divisions, shouldn’t crow in any specific language, but rather sprout random phrases in any language at all, except maybe Japanese. Or perhaps even in Japanese, considering there were people from Indochina there as well.

In my opinion French soldiers should speak French, It doesn’t matter if they are collaborators.
The point isn’t that they were collaborators; it’s that they weren’t exactly “French soldiers.” It is not hard to find that the Brigadeführer’s name was Gustav Krukenberg and the Standartenführer was Walter Zimmermann. As for the Obersturmführers, they were Sergei Krotov, Wilhelm Weber, and Hans-Bernhard Bischoff. I’ll leave the question of how ‘French’ they really were open.

I disagree because then well end up with the entire German army speaking French. If devs put a bit more effort then those squads wouldve been unique. Honestly they shouldve just chosen literally any other German divisions instead of the particular unique ones. Thats like if they added the Arab and Indian legion as a default squad and theyre all just regular Germans

I don’t, the entire german faction doesn’t only run the flamethrower 2 squad, if at all… let alone pre merge squad.
How so? As seen above… i’d be hard pressed if even in your next five matches playing as US you even get someone using a flamethrower.
This isn’t asking for french voices on all squads… it’s one squad that nobody even uses to begin with and a pre merge squad only a fraction of the community have.

I was agreeing with you and also misunderstood your suggestion but do get it now… i would totally switch my rifleman guys to french as their voice lines are kinda funny along with italians.
I’d rather have these specific squads changed than an option for the entire faction. Like the French squads for the Allies, speaking French but without the option for the rest of the faction.

In regards to faction-wide concerns:
For Germany yes I would limit the French voicelines to these specific squads.
However if France were ever added to the Western Allies for example (and they should be) then I would argue French voicelines should be universally available, along with French uniforms.
That way if people want a Free French army lineup, they can have one.
Funnily enough the only squads I would discourage national voicelines are my own countrymen, Australians.
This is simply because the accent would be guaranteed to be messed up. Even if they got Australian voice actors they would sound too modern for WWII. (We’d need Chips Rafferty, not Chris Hemsworth)
