Make it optional to make the rear and side of the tank rideable for infantry.
And we can also escalate this suggestion by making the tanks a alternative temporary spawn vehicle while it’s still in the gray zone.

the problem with the idea is that infantry would only stay on a tank as long they were hitching a ride on, once it came under fire and a battle kicked off, they would jump off the tank.

It seems a bit pointless really considering it’s much faster to walk/run into battle than cling to a slow moving tank. I’m sure it’d look cool though, just not very practical.

while it would be cool,
the AI in this game is not designed for multi task.
Meaning, you would either have to command the tank ( and the silly infantry would keep trying to jump your tank and get inside while being damaged by the thing moving )
… or the tanker will leave the tank.
so a whole lot of AI rework would have to happen and new codes to accomodate the following.
not to be … negative, but if the AI are still lacking on most departments, i’m not sure this would become very better.
… would be cool for mods though.

I agree to that because if they stay up there that will make the tank/infantry combo kinda op
Thats not true for all tanks and there are some maps where tanks can move faster than the infantry because of the map design.
This might be a lil bit good quality of life improvement especially when ur rally point and spawn trucks keeps getting harrassed and the the only option u have os the default spawn point and with this addition u can respawn on a tank that still in the gray zone and we know tanks love to camp around the gray zone
For the implementation is that the soldiers just sit on the tank around behind and side of the tanks turret to make sure the bot will not blind the tank crew and when the tank starts taking fire, the bots will not return fire but disembark and return to regula bot duties
