The Japanese assault rifle IS AWFUL AT BR5. It has LESS DAMAGE than the STG44 and LESS ammo than the Fedorov. Do something about it!

My suggestion to give the Type 2 (6.5x30) its historically accurate 30rnd magazine instead of its 20 round underloaded magazine has 60 votes with 90% in favor of it. The sentiment towards buffing it is overwhelmingly in favor of it

Nice loophole, hopefully not… because this type 2 is classified as an AR despite all the other being SMG.
If you want to give german and US assault engis SMGs then sure because that’s functionally what this is asking for… granted the type 2 isn’t pinnacle of SMGs i think it’s about the principle.

Well actually Japan had no such thing as AR it was actually tested to be LMG:

despite being SMG since that what Japan was trying to build LMG from them but they never adopted them specially the 50 round variant. That’s why they all have pressure valve similar to the adjustable gas ports on LMGs.
So in there is no actual reason to use this squad over the normal engineer squad for Japan really if it cant use the rest of Type 2 smgs since really why would you use them over a normal engineer squad ?

Just because japan is the red headed stepchild doesn’t mean you can use the logic of there’s no reason to use it over type hei so you can bend the rules.
Well I can right now have 2 engineer squads now I can have 3 just with worse weapon Type Hei is miles better then the new SMG no one will use the new combat engineers for Japan. Simply US and USSR and Germany have good assault rifles Japanese assault rifle is bad. And the normal engineers can equip rifles so I dont really see what will be unique about this combat engineers for Japan that the normal engineers dont give me over all they are worse engineers then the normal engineers 
Well with Germany you can use the same variants of the STG and other similar weapons I mean you can give them Scotti Naval Rifle or MKB 15 or MKB 35/III so I dont see why I wont be able to equip Type 2 variants if other factions can equip similar weapon variants.

Also japans SF is objectively OP and has 30 rd compared to other nations 20 rd… this is no wonder so using that logic i also feel is rendered pointless by that.

You can still give them Type Hei rifles, they can equip assault rifles in addition to all normal engineer weapons
Well and the devs turned Type 2 in to assault rifles so why I cant equip the other assault rifles ?
