True but this is 4 Flametroopers, an Engineer and AT…that you can select weapon of choice…as I don’t want an uptiered Garand anyways.
It’s basically a Premium squad for 900 gold…plus 25 weapons.

They are British. What did you expect?

“Unrealistic”… a paintbrush and a wood chisel are unrealistic now?

I will just imagine they are Aussies

Some of those engravings are very ornate on the metal, that type of work couldn’t be done by a soilder without proper equipment, you’d need a skilled craftsman to do that. Also the guns that have skins weren’t all used, for example the Hyde m1944 wasn’t used but somehow a soilder got one and replaced it’s stock with a wooden one. Also the type hei wasn’t used but somehow a soilder had one and had enough time to decorate it. Not to mention that the decorations are counter intuitive, for example why would you want to paint your Madsen lmg but not with a dark green or a colour that could blend in. I can accept decorative pistols because pistols were worn in holsters so the nickel coating couldn’t be seen, but you primary would be visible so you wouldn’t want to decorate it and try draw attention to it.

You’re confusing “unrealistic” with “ahistorical” for most of your examples…

Gee I wonder what colour snow is…

Is the only way to get ammo to buy new guns?

Wow I bet this gun would disappear against a white background because of those small white stripes:

Either way you can’t actually believe a soilder would somehow find a skilled craftsman with the appropriate equipment to engrave his gun? And why, why would he spend his small wages on something that would get scuffed up on a battlefield.

You both are wrong, as its not about disappearing, such lines are only meant to break the outline making it harder to notice from afar. And well, while the stock doesnt make much sense, the big mag do, it is very noticeable in game even especially when prone. The paint doesnt look that contrasting here but its better than nothing I guess.
But overall patterns of high-contrast, often geometric shapes were even used on ships for that very reason.

Rich people from noble families also fought

Yeah, but usually as officers or other roles that would be safer. I’d be surprised if anyone could find a standard issue gun that’d been engraved during ww2 (not a pistol).

Engraved pistols are as ridiculous. Standard soldier would not have golden c96 in ww2. At least these skins are not flashy and the tiny details are impossible to see in battles.

Agreed, and I dont think there could be much of coverage on that as its very individualistic. But I guess some people with artistic visions would actually do that. Just look what tankers were doing to their vehicles. A little bit of personalization is something a creative fella would like to do

Well, they lose their “standard guy” status as soon as you give them a rare weapon to be honest.

I always imagined that those obsolete weapons such as pedersen device for example were just kept by veterans or passed to soldiers from family members who served before ww2

I don’t know if I’d call this an “exploit” but keep it in mind, I found many more when I got to the second floor.
