Operation Market Garden map and campaign beginning

A mission suggestion where the loading screen is static gliders in tow for allies, but loading in is that the gliders have already landed and that is your spawn point. This is a start or setup for Operation Market Garden during the day.

Jeeps near the spawns would be a neat touch.

As you spawn, you see the massive nose of the glider swung upward.

As you progress, you the field is littered with 10-15 static glider models in whichs ome are perfectly landed and some are crashed or have clipped wings.

Even though it was specifically the 101st to secure the bridges at Eindhoven and Son. Enlisted uses multiple squads, so shhhh.

The industrial city of Eindhoven ~could~ be visible in the distance, but probably not. If Gaijin does a low poly render in the distance, the British RAF bombed German positions in Eindhoven just before the 101st arrived, and parts of the city were burning. But we as infantry aren’t there yet.

Later maps to continue:

Securing of Son bridge (to later be destroyed by the German Army)

Securing Eindhoven
a. Securing it was met with joyous reception.

“On September 18, 1944, American paratroopers entered Eindhoven, liberating the city. Their mission was not only to free the population but also to secure the advance route and the bridges over the River Dommel, ensuring they remained open for the approaching British ground forces. Citizens of Eindhoven, many dressed proudly in orange, lined the streets to welcome their liberators. Yet the joy of freedom came with painful consequences.”

Protecting the Allied Supply
a. The road (Hell’s Highway) is the goal from starting in a previously safe area of Eindhoven. Celebration streamers burned out and destroyed buildings are seen as allied make their way to the road.
“On their route north towards Nijmegen and Arnhem the ground troops of Operation Market Garden had to deal with fierce opposition and frequent counterattacks.”

I think that’s all for now.

I forgot to add in that after Eindhoven was secured by the allies, the German Luftwaffe bombed it during the night, hence the burned streamers…

And this line

“Yet the joy of freedom came with painful consequences.”
