WW2 is often simplified to the point of loosing all meaning many focusing on Europe only. many of those who go beyond Europe stop at the pacific forgetting many fronts. We have Africa, Northern Europe, Western Front, The Med, The Balcans, China, The Pacific and more. The invasion of Sicily and Italy were later overshadowed by d-day and the soviet counter attack.

Known as the soft underbelly of Europe Hitler was more counting on his own troops and mountains to stop the allies then his own Italian compatriots. The invasion of Italy can be seen as an extension of the African Campaign and gaining control of the Mediterranean sea a European lake one controlled for a short time by Hitler or so was his intent.

A lot of people would like to see this added the dry tropical climate of Italy is a good transition from the more open African campaign to the more temperate European climate of other campaigns. Also it be great to see another landing site other than just D-day a great map but a bit one note.

Of course how we deal with many Italians switching sides at this point maybe a few allied Italian squads, just kidding. It be a great to add and i know more than a few people have suggested adding the Italian campaign. Maybe include some of Sicily as another map.
