Don’t ask me man, the Devs decided that shite
Did not see battle only because germans surrendered earlier than it arrived in Germany for tests.
Imagine its 1946 or late 1945, just like everyone does with weapons from future in Moscow.
Did not see battle because they are cooking something better in 1946, or because those guns are just unreliable to be produced and used in the field
Legit every soviet automatic rifle has a crap barrel span and shite reliability, and they perform perfectly fine in this game because “balance”
When this game is focused on killing efficiency the fedorov has it in stopping power.
And the AS-44 it’s just a knockoff STG stolen just to accommodate for Soviet mains.
And I couldn’t agree more they never like telling anything straight So when a shadow Nerf happens no one knows about it unless you dig into the files.
If Fedorov avtomat was any effective as it is in game, USSR would not bother developing a STG analogue. Would just improve Fedorov and produce it instead.
Keeping in mind Fedorov himself was still involved in arms industry it’s kinda strange his outdated construction was not used or readopted if it was effective.
Also doesn’t seem to be a big deal to start producing less powerful bullets to replace arisaka ones.
Does not matter at all. There are two STG prototypes used as main weapon of Wehrmacht in Moscow before they even were drawn on paper.
It does matter if you wanna STG go to the Germans if you want whatever the Soviets or the Americans have go to them we don’t want the factions to merge into one So you can’t tell the weapons apart otherwise what’s the point of playing specific factions.
I’m fine with PPSh.
Would prefer if all those AS-44 and other prototypes would be limited to 1 per player, and limited to 1 prototype weapon in squad, or even 1 per match. Same but less restrictive to weapons produced in small series like AVT. There’d be restrictions like - only stormtroopers could use them etc.
But this all should apply to all sides equally. Not like now, there’s epic whine about AS-44 in Berlin (i hate it being there on par with Fedorov because they destroy immersion and atmosphere) but everyone is OK with STG, MG42 from future and other crap (like finnish and hungarian guns) in Moscow. Because for me who plays soviets mainly it looks like : all soviet guns are pre-war ones, with exception of PPS and maybe several prototypes i dont care of and probably would like to be limited in game. Tanks in Moscow and Stalingrad are also mostly pre-war. And all these are suddenly balanced with weapons from mid-war, not to speak of late war, while it doesn’t work for soviets vice versa as a common practice. Changing a bit only in Berlin where there are RD and AS prototypes, where these guns in fact are absolutely unnecessary.
if half of what you’ve just said or all of it were to be implemented I’m sure half of the form would catch fire and the discord would explode.
Yeah - the game ignore complexity, cost and reliability - it had a very complicated and expensive piece of machinery - there was no way it was every going to be mass produced for an army that needs vast numbers like the Soviets.
Check out the Forgotten Weapons video on it - stripping of the action starts about 15:50, and will show you the complexity that was the reason it was never going to be made any more:
LOL discrimination, the soviet is the best faction on the game.
Meanwhile the italians :
You could also claim it in Stalingrad, you would need to farm 16 lvl for pps-42 not to mention you get it with max stats, cool skin and Stalingrad smg options are very limited so I would argue that Soviets had better reward than a sword.
I think the only reason we don’t get Soviet event rewards is because current event rewards are from already existing assets and Soviets don’t have much in the game files and haven’t been implemented yet.
Only stupid thing is that Soviets didnt get paras so far.
Gheyass version of PPS vs a sword. Definitely a call of duty ww2 looking gun that you can always buy for silver in proper colour in unlimited numbers is better than a unique sword.
For some strange reason those who came here for a WW2 shooter are not welcome.
