Hi, I realise that building sandbags and barbed wire was overused and because det packs didn’t work, was nerfed.

But I do recall being able to build sandbags on top of each other was a great concept and a win in my eyes, all that needed to happen was TNT and bombs had to destroy defences

I would hope that the devs have the intention of allowing us to build on tops of other sandbags again, anyone remember the two sandbags with the whole for shooting through? I just want that back please, anyone else?

There are so many possibilities for engineer class, but since the nerf, defences on bases are minimal at best, one wire and sandbags hardly stopping anyone… I get AA guns in buildings (bunkers is a non no) so it’s tricky how to balance the engineer.

But to be fair all my squads had builds with engineers, yes I have reset points but engineer is not as enjoyable as before, jay my feedback.

I would love to have more variety in what you can build as an engineer, but a current problem with building defences is that the maps simply don’t give the defenders any time to build after spawning before there are enemies in their face.
Making maps bigger would help a bit, it would make rally points more necessary and add an opportunity to build some defences when the match starts.

I think not allowing you to stack them is because of an old exploit involving being able to stack construction into space and have an AA gun above the treeline.

Yeah, currently the only thing you can do is to preemptively move to the next capture point and build defenses before the current sector is captured.

Agreed.
Also I think that barbed wire and czech hedgehogs should not able to be dismantled by normal infantry; only engineers should have that ability.

Engineers do it faster, as far as I remember.

I play as an engineer most of the time and i always try to defend area’s by placing wire and bags but most of the times they get destroyed by the blast radius of arty and bombs within minutes while being inside of buildings.
Blocking off windows doesnt really work 9 times out of 10 and the barbwire is way to easy to bypass as you can jump right over it even if there are multiple rows.

Engineer is still the best class to have imo but these defences need to be a bit more effective…

They used to be better but we’re nerfed, but they might have fixed set packs and damage now.
