This update has done a few really bad things to Japan.
First of all - Japan has lost the BR1 smg variation. Now we have a situation where we are being forced to switch to BR2, which has become overloaded with weapons and equipment.
The second aspect concerns the Japanese BR1 premium squads. I paid money to be able to play with a few of them in the BR1 territory. If you don’t expect to compensate with parallel BR1 squads in the future, then unlock the ability for Premium Squads to change weapons. Respect your customer at least.
At the moment, the Japanese BR1 has become a soulless demo version. The question is why did they even need to touch the Japanese BR1 smg’s. All they needed was a few cosmetic changes, not a full BR transaction. It’s hard to believe that someone thanks them for this and shakes their hand.
Though Type 100 (early) was corrected, it came at the cost of it being unique.
Im not saying that it was a mistake to make its fire rate historically accurate but it seems rather cherry picked to me.
Why only Japanese guns?
Urugan, though there are few sources of it, they claim 500 rpm which makes sense since its a Mp40 partizan copy.
FNAB-43 was proven to be 800 rpm but its yet to be corrected.
Pps-43 and 42 both seem to be firing 100 rpm more than they did in reality, at least according to contemporary western sources.
M50 Reising actually has way higher fire rate, proven by Ian McCollum (commonly known as “Gun Jesus”).
We should have forgotten these words long ago when talking about Enlisted and buried them. Why did they wake up from a coma and suddenly hit a lightning bolt with corrections to Japanese BR1 smg’s with historical aspects. In this state of the game’s existence, they need to look at it according to their own constructed “balance logic”:
For example, Japan now, no longer has a single smg premium squads in BR1 territory. Japan doesn’t even have BR1 paratroopers at its disposal. Type 100 (early) transferred to BR2 does not provide any competitiveness against original BR2 smg’s, and will become just an unused weapon in an overloaded BR2 arsenal anyway.
Their first “fix” where smg’s damage readings were increased was super to much, but completely evicting them from BR1 territory without providing alternatives is just lazy management. I hope for corrections
at least half the community do not consider tests on a Frankenstein gun with ‘appropriate substitute’ ammo to be proof. stop referring to a singular modfern source, or secondary sources that use said sources as proof. second wish granted gun raised to 800 rof and increased by one br cause a smg at double the rof is not staying at its current br so loose, loose…
would you have preferred them to nerf it hard enough to keep it in br1. cause i would hate to see what a br1 version of the gun would look like. no the gun was not br1 as is or even with the nerf it got. and if you point out the 30 round thompson in br2 yes i want all of them in br3 not in bloody four or two three.
Had the Dev’s just raised the Type 100 to a 650 maxed ROF, it would have been just fine to leave at BR1 and still would have been a good upgrade. I am scratching my head as to why the Type 2a SMG had to be moved to BR3 as well as I don’t think it tipped the Allied/Japanese scale of power over to the Japanese had it stayed at BR2. I play far more Allies then Japanese and I would have been fine with it staying at BR2. However, the Dev’s did what they do best, misinterpret the tea leaves and proceeded to screw shit up.
Who honestly asked for that? I mean was the biggest problem in the whole weapon category who need hard fixes, was just a few poor Japanese BR1 smgs? As I mentioned, the Japanese BR1 smgs were in great shape as they were if you ask me. There was no need to raise the damage or rof, ect. or to touch them at all in the first place.
We have already discussed this in that topic
The gun is original.
Its the only source focused on the FNAB-43 alone which makes it far more accurate than others.
Newer books actually quote the 800 rpm while its old books that claim otherwise, take for example The Encyclopedia of Infantry Weapons of World War II by Ian Hogg, the book gets the fire rate wrong of most submachine guns that were less common than 50.000 made
95% of people that commented an excuse did so because they didnt want to see the FNAB-43 buffed
