Is my memory playing tricks on me with so many fragments, or did the staff post that the machine gunners were going to start using the weapon independently?
I don’t know why I have the feeling I’ve read it, I asked the AI to check the forum but it told me there was nothing, just player requests.
That would be great to add to all vehicles, especially the Japanese ones, which have the machine gun separate from the gunner, and you have to keep switching, and many times you don’t even have the angle.

It will be good, but with small radius/vision for the AI gunner
Premium APCs already have this, the AI shoots automatically at the enemy with a hit range of 8/10 at 120 meters.
It’s a matter of adding it to the rest of the vehicles if they’re not going to leave it as something exclusive to paid units.

All ? Or only Jap and US premiums APC ?
All of them, but in the Soviet and Japanese versions you are in control of the gunner, but if you switch, he starts shooting.
I have them all, so I can record if you want.

I didn’t know that all premium APCs were in this situation. Thanks for clarifying.
However, I still maintain my point: I think the developers should give this ability to other APCs (event ones like the Bren Carrier, unlike the Sd.Kfz. 251/9 which has its machine gun coaxial to the cannon) and to other armored vehicles, as is already the case in certain modes (Big Action, for example).
Moreover, some tanks—especially Soviet ones—also have a machine gun at the rear of their turret. This one should also be functional (and usable by the AI if the vehicle has enough crew) in the future to better protect the crews, especially in urban environments.
To preserve the premium aspect of the units you mentioned, and to avoid making AI too deadly, I think the range and field of view of AI controlling these MGs should be weaker when it comes to non-premium vehicles. That way, premium squads would still retain an advantage compared to TT and event vehicles.
