Once again, change matches so BR 1 is 0/0

Wrong, they get obliterated because every time they run into a clubber, they get mogged by an SMG. Always an SMG. And it will forever be the SMG, because that guy never goes for any other weapon.

Engagement between actual newbies take long seconds as neither will most likely hit the first shot, let alone the subsequent one. But they learn. Only for it to be dashed as soon as they run into SMG every game and get their ass handed to them.

ALL BRs should be this way.

That’s a good idea, sometimes I get sad when I obliterate some 3-members squad newbie with Thompsons or Lahti

Because SMGs are OP - we asked for a nerf in BR2 SMGs for … well since the merge, instead they got buffed.

Heck one or two years ago people asked for a 20 round Thompson at BR2 - we got a BR3 Thompson for BR2 instead.

We asked to move PPS43 to BR3 - we got Uragan in BR2 instead.
People started accepting the SMG power creep and started to ask that German also gets fair BR2 SMGS

So BR2 Beretta 40 rounder got a RPM increase, april fool event Mas36 was added and event MP35 was buffed.

Non of this should have happened.

Greese gun, MP40 a PPS42 with HA rate of fire nerf, 20 rounder Thompson all would have been totally fine in BR2, but curret top meta BR2 SMGs laser beam targets at 150 meters distance and shredds people in under a second even in long range.

Bolt action rifles are simply outclassed by SMGs even in long range combat - or at least what we consider long range in the Enlisted map style environment.

Not with a bolt you don’t. You end up losing in the end, because the game favours CQB since objectives are always a CQB scenario. Even being good won’t save you when you’re clearly disadvantaged not only by weapon but the environment itself.

Huh. Not sure about that. Yes the Soviets at BR II are my favs, but cuz of Winchester only, followed by Lee. I comprehend the PPS power, but touch it only in very specific circumstances and only have 1 squad for it, so it’s a more of a trump card, that stays in the deck 95% of the time.

I can’t say whether we have good low BR players though. Either matchmaking hates me or we’re spread thin across matches but it’s usually a single man effort followed by 2 above average players. So the few times I’ve run into other vets, or carries, they’ve mostly been carrying with the PPS, which I can’t say makes me sure of their skill level, but I guess that weapon can work miracles.

I know I might be imposing a bit and we aren’t very fond of each other, but look at one of the replays of mine. I’ve indulged in bit of lone fighter recently and while I am rusty and my laptop goes into 30 FPS mode each match for 3 minutes before calming down back to around 120, no excuse for my aim sometimes though. I think you’ll see what a bolt can do in an environment where all BRs can meet.

SMG are strongest at close range, nobody disputes that, but at medium/long range. No they can’t compare to a bolt or even semi. People think it only because it’s usually newbies with the bolts and they most likely are using a sniper at that point, which will get mogged by SMGs as soon as he steps out of his hiding place and into the building across the street.

Wider range in Enlisted is 20-50 meters. I understand it does not allow bolts to flourish as much, but it is enough with practice. Practice which for most never comes as they give them up after researching SMGs.

I’d like people, newbs especially, to not yield to the temptation SMGs are. But META works against me as you say, SMGs are instead forwarded towards newbies as the go-to weapon. They drown you in barely earned results. You never grow, maybe except for becoming attached to the weapon. It’s like a drug, one that doesn’t show its bad side so you have no reason to doubt yourself.

In my opinion, we should have had 0/0 matchmaking long ago, but we don’t have enough players. Well, that has always been the excuse given and will always be the excuse. To be honest, if Enlisted doesn’t have enough players by now it never will.

Today, I play mostly custom matches. Why? Because I can pick my mode and map and to be honest, the matches are just as competitive as the general mode, meaning they are mostly seal clubbings, but without deserters. :joy: I got tired of taking the time to give Gaijin my list of preferences, only to get the middle finger every time I loaded the game mode and continiously got a map or mode I had specifically given the thumbs down to, so, off to custom matches I went. I only play general game mode now when I have 500% boosters saved, so a couple times a week more or less, so at the moment, match making doesn’t really effect me.

I’m not holding my breath that Gaijin will ever give the players a true 0/0 matchmaking.

as a new player with max 6 hours i can tell its true
