I can’t believe we’re finally getting ray tracing—a much-asked-for update in the forums for months now. FINALLY, I’ll be able to look at all the detailed shadows on the maps THAT I DON’T WANT TO PLAY ON. So, instead of spending time playing the game on the maps that I DO want to play on (by giving us proper map selection), I can now spend much more time looking at shadows on maps THAT I DON’T WANT TO PLAY ON—and this is how the developers spend their time: Coming up with new ways to waste their time (and ours) by implementing things that really don’t matter. Great job! Keep up the good work! Boy, this really wants me to buy more stuff to support this company!!!
What’s next? Countable grains of sand on the beach? Or perhaps more realistic bark on all the trees. Or maybe “better snow” that’s more “white realistic.”
Now I remember why I took time off from playing this game.
idk who those fanboys are… think that everyone on forum is pretty united on shitting on DF/gaijin.
also why even call this major update… 2 TT weapons, 2 TT vehicles, 1 major map rework and few minor ones, slight UI change, few bug fixes and adding ray tracing support for game where graphics are not really focus…
think that increasing drawing distance for infantry/planes would have more impact on game than ray tracing support.
Very true, over 2 years this for me has declined in game play ability. As they say you cannot polish a turdand also before you need to learn how to walk, before you can walk you first need to learn crawl! (Spongebob, 2014) xx
Yes, lack of proper flanking is another one of my pet peeves—although I have noticed that they have widened some of the maps. At least that’s some minor improvement.
In regard to the fanboys, I read in another post that the devs we’re going to give us a squad with silenced weapons, but the fanboys thought it was too OP, so we didn’t get them. Is that true?
