If devs want to sell old Premium squads, they are going to have to overhaul their squad models. They just rereleased a bunch of Allied squads for Independence day…but they are too expensive for what they are.
The M1928 Thompson squad has 10 fewer bullets then the M1A1 TT version with similiar stats yet a TT Assault squad is 7 man WITH a Radioman…I understand that when it came out that it was OP but they have since reworked the TT making it a worse option. It is similar to the “Collector” squads that are locked to TT weapons like the Reising squad.
Fixes are easy and there are options:
rework the weapons to make them at least compete with TT options…say add 10 bullets to the M1928 squad
unlock the weapons on “Collector” squads to give them better utility…then post-merge players have something similiar to Legacy squads they can add
make them cheaper…easiest way is to rework the revolving 4 squad bundles to include these old squads at a discount as the bundles are VERY stale now…I know I’d be interested in these old squads…more then enough vehicles too that the Gold Chests pointed out…this also fixes the divided player base on the Gold Chests
Are you awear that those M1928 are basicly the same BR 4 M1928 from the TT but with just 10 less rounds and is in BR 2? The USMC thompson is everything but weak.
Ya but people would usually pick the M1928A1 at BR4 for the 50 round mag. I just mean it should be better then TT options if it’s purchased…it is a good gun but is it worth 2500 gold over the free TT option that has similiar stats?
That’ true but they are both free TT options…I just think Premium should be at least on par with TT options since it is for money. The Chinese Thompson squad is a better option at the same BR.
It’s like having the M8 Greyhound and NOT being able to remove the palm tree camo in Normandy…especially since you can’t pick where to fight.
I’m not saying it isn’t good, it just doesn’t make me want to throw my money at it.
It’s also time to either start selling these squads with unlocked weapons, or have them automatically unlock after the player has bought a certain amount of Premium squads. It’s long past time for the Dev’s to threw a bone to those who are financially supporting their company.
