OCD level of reserves and squad efficiency

I do not know if I am the only one who goes over every squad to ferret out the chaff to replace it with wheat.

My reserve numbers are small. I hate the idea of sending a 3 star tier 1 to the graveyard so I keep them around in case a new squad comes out.

This is years of going through most of my squads removing any non max soldier.

  • Good to have that level of elite soldiers Top Tier, 3 star
  • No stars, 2 stars, 3 stars who cares!
  • It is a Sisyphusian task far too complex
  • Too expensive to bother with

Japan having so few squads(less than 3 per class) is the only nation I have a good amount of reserves.

it can be expensive, but that’s kinda the end game.

if you want to have super soldiers and what not.

i… still went with the expensive way of retroffitting all factions with historical loadouts for all campaigns within enlisted, and keeping some for new squads.

that way, i … keep staying broke, but at least have proper line ups for whenever i play mods / custom games.

… only con imo, not enough reserve numbers or presets in the line up.

Retrofitting? As in the weapon loads or the soldiers? I agree 100% on the silver cost. Millions and millions, the last 2 silver chest sales I focused more on filling out all my squads. Hence that low reserve number. I think it is at around 80%? That is a lot replacing, grinding and organizing. The hard numbers for a max squad tend to hover around 150k-300k (300k for the US 7 man bomber but that is the max metta).

My load outs are always max weapon, Ammo for assaulters, MGs and extra explosives for every other class. That adds up too at BR 5 but I have squirrelled away enough weapons upgrade orders that I never use silver on that third star.

I finally saw that gold only gear after I tried setting one of my groups up to look snazzy. Yeah 60 gold a helmet NO THANKS!

My reserves are so low because I went through every squad trying to find a home and these guys are the scraps. Most are from the 10% rule. 10% you will get 3 star soldier so its best to get 10-20 at a time. That is a quick 100k to fill out a squad at tier 4.

i sometimes reused the ones i have in the pool, and giving them just new guns, or conscript new guys for squads.

but also yes.

funny thing is, for legacy players, that adds up quicky.

but to be honest,… you don’t really have to fill all the squads just because you can :joy:

it is " fun " though.
as it offers replayability if you are interested.

still wondering where those pre merge squads went though.
weren’t those promised in the silver box?

oh well.

beyond… stupid and greedy.

so much for buying prem items with the expecations of reusing them ( like the finals ) across characthers.

noooo.
pay up.

well, too bad i ain’t ever getting any prems again if i’m being honest.

You might have you finger on the pulse of things more than me. The last chests had squads but some players had a ton and people like me had 4 I got the one I wanted (The cool German tree squad). I think we had this discussion a few months back when I was trying to figure out the total number of squads and how to determine how many you are missing. That started when someone commented on how many legacy squads I had and I did not even know what that meant.

There is no was of seeing a larger picture of squad loadouts. I think eventually they will allow squad modding past the active ones for battle. I think that I am missing 30-40 squads?

106 German squads
42 Japan squads
90 US Squads
74 Russian squads (This is where I am missing the most I hated Stalingrad)

I got a couple from the chests but they are insane with those prices. I compare it to a new game (Older great games are still great games). Premium and Battle Pass are well worth. 30$ US for a squad 6$ for a helmet LOL FUCKING INSANE! Easy red 2 sell entire campaign packs for far less. 1 squad or the Sino Theatre including Taiwan, and Korean troops.

I fill them all out because of wanting multiple BRs at the ready without tearing my squads apart to make what I need. 1 Mortar on Japan drives me nuts just like 2 flamers on Russia. So I have the main BR setup and at least 2x2 AUX fill ins to make a rotation (3 of one type). Its the old school assaulter in me. I use to play 3 assaulters all nations (minus Japan) 24/7 German 2 specifically.

They are not going to do anything nice about the legacy squads they did not release them because they are still trying to figure out how to monetize them. I think when this all went down I sold 1 squad. And thought hmmm maybe hold back on that. It was when silver was not so abundant. I still have only about 100k silver because of filling squads. It runs my 100k a cycle when I recruit soldiers. You get most of it back but its -700 at higher tier and 5000 if you keep the guy.

I think this data is accurate but how to compare the two would be useful. The people who did Rollcall would be really awesome if they made data tables on the mechanical side of the game (soldiers, gear, weapon totals)
In Enlisted , non-premium squads consist of standard Tech Tree researchable squads and pre-merge Campaign Legacy squads (excluding Gold/Store Premium packs and paid Battle Pass/event squads).

Total Overview (Non-Premium + Legacy)

  • Total Non-Premium Squads in Game: ~290 to 300 squads total
    • Standard Tech Tree Squads (Currently Unlockable): ~100 – 110 squads
    • Legacy Squads (Pre-Merge duplicates/campaign squads): ~186 – 190 squads

Squad Count Per Nation

1. Germany / Axis (German & Italian sub-factions)

  • Active Tech Tree Squads: ~30 squads
  • Legacy Squads: ~96 – 99 squads (Includes pre-merge duplicates across Moscow, Normandy, Berlin, Tunisia, and Stalingrad)
  • Total non-premium Axis squads: ~126 – 129 squads

2. USA / Western Allies (American & British/Commonwealth sub-factions)

  • Active Tech Tree Squads: ~27 squads
  • Legacy Squads: ~47 squads (Includes pre-merge duplicates from Normandy, Pacific, Tunisia, etc.)
  • Total non-premium Allied squads: ~74 squads

3. USSR / Soviet Union

  • Active Tech Tree Squads: ~27 squads
  • Legacy Squads: ~45 squads (Includes pre-merge duplicates from Moscow, Stalingrad, and Berlin)
  • Total non-premium Soviet squads: ~72 squads

4. Imperial Japan

  • Active Tech Tree Squads: ~21 squads
  • Legacy Squads: ~2 – 4 squads (Japan was added late in the Pacific campaign prior to the 2023 Merge update and only had 1 pre-merge campaign, resulting in almost no legacy campaign duplicates) .
  • Total non-premium Japanese squads: ~23 – 25 squads

Context on Legacy Squads

Prior to the major December 2023 “Merge” update, Enlisted was divided into 6 separate historical campaigns (Moscow, Normandy, Berlin, Tunisia, Stalingrad, and Pacific). Each campaign had its own progression line.

When Gaijin merged campaign progression into four unified national Tech Trees, duplicate unlocked squads were converted into Legacy Squads . Pre-merge players retained all these squads in their armories, allowing them to cycle multiple identical squad classes (e.g., multiple Assaulter or Engineer squads) in a single match lineup.
