There are far too many obstacles on the maps.
Driving vehicles often leads to very unpleasant experiences, and other players are complaining about this as well.
When you try to move to an objective with a tank or APC, objects constantly block your way.
These obstacles are often packed so densely that it’s hard to avoid them by turning,
or they require an excessive amount of physical force to destroy.
In particular, if a vehicle hits an object with its side, the vehicle gets pulled toward the object and falls into a kind of trap that’s very hard to get out of.
Sure, in real life it might also be difficult to clear obstacles. But this is a game.
In Enlisted, which combines realism with a casual experience, this kind of frustration feels out of place.
I believe you could make the game more comfortable by either increasing the collision damage that tanks and vehicles do to objects so they break more easily,
or by adjusting the number of objects placed on the maps.
Besides simple objects, there are also a few other map features that I think make vehicles get stuck too easily:
-
Tree collision also has problems that should be fixed.
For trees shaped like an upside-down triangle, with many branches spreading wide at the top (not the thick-trunk trees),
just touching the thin branches that spread out to the sides can completely stop a tank or vehicle and block its advance.
I think this could be improved by reducing their physical collision area or lowering the amount of impact needed to knock them down. -
Train tracks get in the way of vehicle movement too much.
When vehicles try to cross train tracks, it feels like driving over a small barricade each time.
In some cases, tanks even get hung up on the rails and can’t get over them.
I would like the rails’ height above the ground to be reduced and their collision adjusted so that vehicles can cross them more smoothly instead of getting snagged on them.
Thank you for reading my feedback.
