The Object 248 is essentially an IS-2, but mounting a 100mm S-34 cannon. This is ballistically identical to the 100mm guns on the T-34 100 and SU-100.
Here are the vehicle’s stats in War Thunder, and it could be easily ported to Enlisted! Object 248 | War Thunder Wiki
I believe the Soviets deserve a better BR 5 tank option in the tech tree. the IS-2 1944 has better armor, but the reload speed of the 122mm is lackluster. This tank has worse protection, but the gun is on-par or slightly better than the Tiger II’s 8.8cm KwK 43, all specs considered.
Would you like to see the Object 248 added to Enlisted?
How would you like to see the Object 248 implemented?

I’d still rather have the T-44-100 but I’ll take this if it’s the only chance of another good tank.
I wanted the T-44-100 as well, but there’s a chance it would push power creep if it was added. Either way, I don’t think anyone is going to look at the Object 248 and call it overpowered, but it is better than the best option the Soviets have (T-34-100).

The T-44-100 would give the Soviets a tank on par with the King Tiger if not better, which probably wouldn’t turn out well considering people already complain about Russian bias.
IS-100 is better, but I still want T-44-85

Precisely. A lot of people would complain if T-44-100 was added in the current state of the game, but if the factions were evened out more, I think it would be a fine addition.

People would probably complain about it being resistant to explosive packs too
While the T-44-100 is in the same ballpark as the Tiger 2H, I’m not sure you can call it a directly better vehicle overall. It does have better mobility and a bigger HE warhead but it also has worse protection (thinner turret front, more vulnerable hull LFP, no redundant crew), a slower firing main gun with somewhat worse penetration (though I’m not sure if the somewhat lower pen will actually matter in practice), and a worse MG coax.
It is probably worth noting that, due to the nature of Enlisted’s gameplay, having better mobility isn’t as much of an advantage in this game as it is in War Thunder. You generally can’t go around flanking like a rat creature or anything.

This is why I feel it would be good in TT, it’s not exactly a amazing tank by OP standards but it holds up well. I would have put it between IS2 and the First tank in the very beginning of Tier 5 of the research tree. Reason why is it’s a middle ground between armor and gun. The 100 mm would reload faster then the IS2 but have worse pen and less armor in exchange for better speed in what little open space we have.
That’s just 100mm gun though, so the 248 would also give similar gun performance. Both would provide a very good option for BR V.
The gun has more pen than the 122mm. Lighter shell, but capped and 900m/s muzzle velocity instead of 800m/s:
I would folder it with the IS-2, personally.
Something else to note is that a tank’s greatest threat, the explosive pack, likely wouldn’t be able to destroy a T-44 from the sides to the it’s armor layout.
