Currently we can have 2 tanks, 1 fighter, 1 bomber active during battle.
Are those numbers good for current maps’ sizes in your opinion?
I just want to know what the community thinks.
I’m not sure, but Vioskovo Village invasion might have 3 tanks available. But still, the numbers are ok for current map sizes
It’s about right.
Planes are almost pointless but I don’t think adding more of them will be any kind of improvement.
Issue with planes isnt really the amount of active planes (at least for bombers) but rather that players and bot squads doesnt mark a lot/ dont do much reconnaisse and that fighters are kinda useless if there are no other planes around.
Anyway atm ita fine.
It depends if we get more tank classes and/or bigger maps.
Not to mention marking is buggy so tanks don’t always get marked as tanks and any little bit of clutter blocks the mark.
Even if half of the entire team could do nothing but strafing the ground, they would be entirely useless because pilots can´t see anything until its too late due to their low render distance. (Already created thread about it, but it ended up abandoned somewhere in the dark room of this forum, under great deal of dust)
There is no incentive to play as pilot at the moment. Even marking targets by “V” is not helping as much since targets are not practice dummies and they move. So good luck trying to guess where to drop bombs in a cloud of red dots on the map.
Tbh i still think only 1 tank per side should be enabled, we dont have enough AT options and usually the tanks just get in the way/ruin the infantry combats flow which is the most fun aspect of the game.If i want to play tanks i play wt.
Tanks are deaf and half-blind, they’re not hard to counter or plain avoid.
I end up moving through behind enemy tanks all the time because they can’t see you unless you’re directly in their line of sight.
If you think there aren’t enough AT options, you clearly aren’t bringing enough explosive packs into battle. Those puppies oneshot any tank if thrown right and can not be countered by the tanker. The literal only thing they can do is shoot you, so just stay behind they turret / sightline.
Now we even have AT guns on top on charges and AT rifles (though PTRD is kinda buggy).
My main problem isnt that tanks are op but i just dont like fighting them or using them and for me they take away a lot from the small to medium scale infantry aspect of the game .But i dont want them removed or nerfed just less of them.
2 tanks per team in invasion and 3 per team in conquest seems like enough for me.
Just disabled tanks pile up quickly along the main lanes they use.
Tanks could just be one of those things you don’t understand the limitations of until you use them alot yourself.
Tank lanes often enough turn into machine gun or AT-gun lanes as well until enough tanks get disabled to block line-of-sight and make the road relatively safe.
