Now i really understand why lot of people hate normandy

Havent played normandy for a month bcs i unlocked everything axis have. When you used to it you dont understand how bad the combat is from outsider 's eyes
Normandy is the worst combinations enlisted have.
-some of the smallest maps along with berlin. Different than berlin is not many buildings and debris. So planes and tank bombs manifest really strongly. Late era meta weapons all over the place
-flat and open area. But different than moscow you also dont have long distances between objectives like tunisia or moscow.

  • you cant put your squad back/ into objectives everytime since not much of them exist. Including powerfull vehicles and tons of explosive weapons, being a spawnkilled is a norm.
  • matches are decided by how much explosions you spam not really how is you gameplay, map knowledged or skill.

This cant be considered as playing.
Nothing is fun about it
Even berlin is pretty mild conpared to this
Berlin has too many vertical places to use and houses and objects to take cover at least

Because popular media when it comes to ww2 is overtaken by normandy landings for more than 20 years thanks to private ryan
Lot of newbies start with this campaign.
Most of the americans, other anglo countries , significant number of western gamers know about normandy than any other theatre of the war.
The fps titles when it comes to ww2 literally built upon normandy landings.
MoH series which started the ww2 game storm in late 90’s early 2000’s was supported by spielberg.
If some movie was more popular about eastern front, pacific or any other theatre i guarantee that ww2 medi in general would be significantly different today.
It is/was so milked to the death that i want to puke when i saw bar, thompson or garand

The small maps are super fucking annoying. I mean, all the fighting is consolidated into a concentrated area, and many times the outcome is determined by which team has a higher ratio of human players vs the team that has a higher ratio of A.I. controlled squads.

It’s really lame how the objectives are so close together, and whenever a point is captured, the attacking team will be ontop of the next objective within 60-120 seconds.

It’s also lame when you’re playing on defense, and because the maps are so small, by the time a player runs to the next objective (or spawns), and builds a rally point… the enemy is already capping the next point. If I had a nickle for every time the objective moves, and by the time I get a new rally point down, the enemy is already capping (because they explosive spammed the objective and killed all the defenders)

Perhaps DF should consider slowing the game down by expanding the size of the maps and distance towards the objective.

Or perhaps add a “neutral” time limit for invasion matches, where the next objective cannot be captured for a certain period of time. Which will allow the defending team a chance to regroup and prepare to defend against the advancing enemy.

What’s the point of the development team creating all of these different classes that can be implemented into the battlefield, when the majority of the time… all you need is a assault squad, a mg squad, flamethrowers, and a lot of explosives…

It’s pretty sad to play a match that ends in less than 10 minutes.
Whether on the winning team, or the losing team… the matches are boring fuck, when all you’re doing is running from one objective to the next, until all five are taken. Zero strategy or teammwork required, when the teams are completely unbalanced.

This game has turned into a hybrid of call of duty and battlefield 5.

since too many bot in the game

One of the worst things in Normandy is CAS spam especially US rockets where even their fighters have them but atleast killing Stuarts with Tiger is a guilty pleasure on that campaign.

no i really love nor campaign

Ever heard of CoD?

Normandy is my favorite campaign.

The two things I don’t like so much are in the end game where the spam of M2 carbine is the best choice for all your squads as Ally, and German tanks easily can carry a game if there is no good opponent to deal with it.

But this campaign the most enjoyable especially since it’s the only campaign where air domination really matter.

I have been saving Normandy for a long time to play with friends. Mainly because D-Day/Normandy has been done to death and I prefer other campaigns.

But I dabble in it every now and then, Even with my lvl 10s Jerries’ I find it pretty cool, refreshing and fun to play. In general Id say Berlin is more boring but thats preference (there are some awesome maps in Berlin too)

its nice to have options

Landing map is literally garbage.

They dont know how to make a well made landing mission.

Still waiting for any of the claims “normandy is most played” to be subtantiated with anything other than “just trust me bro”.

Least skill required. All you need is a plane and maybe a late level tank.
