Damn the original post is so much cope. Pretty much everyone I see complaining about paras are bad players who would have lost even if the enemy didn’t have paras. I have yet to lose a game due to paras. Every loss has been because the other team was significantly better than my own; we would have lost anyways (after playing the game for a while, you can tell pretty easily).
The only thing that paras have changed is that I occasionally look up now to watch for them dropping. Most paras I see die immediately and bleed tickets. The only changes I would make are locking new caps for ~15s so the defenders can fall back (cap rushing was already a thing even before paras, they just exacerbated the issue), and swapping the US paras current weapons with something more mid-tier and have their 100 round mags be the “assault” loadout.
paras are OP in hands of veteran cause they can easily flank and clear enemy rally points. they need counter play cause paratroopers only landed behind enemy lines when they had air supremacy. in this game they are landing directly on enemy when they dont have air supremacy. btw there were couple of combat drops with paratroopers, but they were all mostly massacred.
my counter would be that planes need to be in the air longer and that they should be prohibited to drop on cap in rally point exclusion zone. they would still be powerful, but not totally OP.
Anything is OP in the hands of a Vet. I am always hunting rallies/flanking/building flanking rallies, even before paras. My performance with my non-para squads is often much better than with my paras because players with half a brain know to go to where I am landing and shoot me as I land/look for a rally. The only time paras feel overly powerful to me is when I am vs a bot/noob team. But in that case, my M2C/Stg/FG/Flamers feel just as strong.
Again, people complaining about paras are the same people who have been losing to vets with their max gear.
As for the cap point, I would be down for either locking the cap temporarily so defenders can fall back/spawn, or reducing para capture weight. I would prefer the first option because cap rushing is still a thing even before paras/in campaigns that do not have paras and should be addressed.
Videos are better examples for illustrating an issue, than TELLING someone that it isn’t.
You guys say that Paratroopers are fine, and can be easily countered (shot down)… but you won’t even show clips of your own gameplay, demonstrating/teaching all the rest of us noobs, on how to do it.
Please SHOW me… with 30-60 second video clips (quality/sound is irrelevant).
