Big news for you OP. This game stopped being historically accurate long ago. Same for realism. If you don’t like it don’t play it simple as that.

People who are bitching about paras are for the most part sore losers and would have lost the game anyway because the enemy team was better.
What we need is this:

They should lock every point for 15-30s (in confrontation it’s 120s.)
Will prevent ppl from hot drop on point and steamroll next obj. -
Flight time needs a small increase, and a plane indicator should pop up soon after spawn.
It’s too easy to have a successful jump today. The planes should be easier countered. This will make it more interesting. -
(This is never gonna happen: but I would prefer to have their main weapons in the supply box)
However, most importantly paratroopers are cool and fun. Far, far from OP. For the most part just situational great. I perform far better with regular squads for the most part.

they are OP cause you can clear enemy rally points with ease. this is their biggest advantage. also console players probably have difficulty with added vertical fights. my problem is that i always play with music so they can sneak on me.
How are they not OP/worse than regular troops?
Paras can:
1 - deploy anywhere on the map within ~10 seconds
2 - choose from a variety of loadouts depending on the battle situation
3 - have access to really good weapons (except maybe Japan)
4 - can have an engineer who can build both rallies and MGs
5 - have a million perk points, so vitality, recloil reduction and all that jazz
What are their downsides?
I don`t play Axis till they fix the Ju-188 bug
if they had longer flight and hot drop delay it would be perfectly balanced
Deploy anywhare in their team playable area within 20s from the spawn to the landing
Lol, chose between use 3 mg or 3 rocket luncher or 2 sniper rifle or 2 mortar, variety at his finest, and 1 enginer is only in the mortar lodout

Poor paratroopers, life is hard.
They even drop what feels like 5 times faster than a pilot, so difficult to play with.
Do you mean the honk the pilot do for signal the squad to lunch? Is a neat thing
