Please balance the planes in Normandy. Allies has so much better planes. I can hardly catch up with P38 in my BF 109 G6. Also have to shoot million times to do proper damage. Please don’t start to tell me aim for the engine and pilot… In a dogfight you don’t always have the chance to aim at those points. On the other hand they are faster so most of the time you can just shoot from far behind. So many time I run out for ammo and have to RTB while the P38 just carry on flying as nothing happened. Either give more ammo or just fix the hit model. I don’t think in real life a plane would fly after being hit 20-30 times without any problem. Also on the side note: BF109 G-6 rolls crazy, every little movement makes it roll like a stunt plane.
have you tried shooting center mass and avoid shooting the tail?

and still axis can lose

Look at the bigger picture, yes allies have way better air power but axis tanks and infantry are more powerful and easier to use well. I would say normandy has the best balance along with moscow, if only the allies had a decent counter to the panther.

There are 2 versions of the P38…J & G. Both have the same armament and only 6 M8 rockets for CAS, but the J takes up a fighter plane slot and the G takes the Attack plane slot.
My point is that if that is the only Allied plane in the air, I’d ignore them. If you shot down a P38-G, it might be replaced by an A20 or one of the 2 P47s and that would be much much worse for your team.

One question, do you increase engine power after emergence? Just otherwise I don’t understand how you can’t catch up with it
Also creating energy and using that momentum helps a great deal
Maybe they leave it as is because if they slotted both in the same fighter squadron, why have both P38s in the same campaign?
