Normandy is the WORST campaign (to me)

  1. German side has so much more superior weapons. Making playing German side much more easier than US. Causing lots of german side players are extreme lack of faith (the willing to play). (This apply to all 4 campaigns.) A small setback can cause lots of players quit mid match.
  2. Too much foliage, making players extreme hard to see ambushed enemy. Making players more tend to NOT TO play for the target, but tend to camping. Normandy is the worst campaign I have seen that ALL players tend NOT TO get in the sector to defend or attack. But to seek some kills far away from the sectors.
  3. Extreme OP vehicles.
    a. Vehicles vs infantry. This campaign though is earlier than Berlin. But get the nearly same powerful AP ability vehicles. Either very flexible early light tanks. Or high explosive bombs/shells. And large plain field and even more powerful than Berlins’ air bombs. (6x250??? 4x500?) Making infantry gameplay even more horrible.
    b. Vehicle vs Vehicle. This campaign let long has almost same amounts of tanks like Moscow. But has the most unbalanced tanks of all four campaign. Jumbo and Panther can sit far away in grey zone, getting kills, while enemy if not good at CAS, or the tank is hiding behind sth. It’s almost indestructible.
  4. Many too large maps.
    I really dont like extreme large maps. It looks nice at first. But later you will find you are always running without actually fighting something. Just wasting my time.
  5. Extreme long time per match.
    Many early Normandy invasion map due to hard to attack. Capture a point can give LOTS of bonus tickets. WTF is 250 per sector? The attacker’s tickets are almost infinite. (If attacker willing to play, do not have lots of AI that wasting tickets) From Moscow to Berlin. Capture a sector usually ONLY give another 100~150 tickets! Also WTF is that air balloons. If the attacker(defender) know to use them, OMG, the match can last well over 30min. Sometimes even close to 1h. (I have seen some 60~70min matches of Normandy before the force ending mechanism)
    Extreme long time match only benefit those with XP boosters. Most of those >30min matches, there will be lots of players quit mid match. No one want to waste so many time on a possible lose match. Or they simply can not withstand playing so long. Even lots of simulation games (not pure simulator), time of one round is controlled <45min.

  2. Vegetation und many opportunities to hide and cover are nice.
  3. Maybe there is something to hide or cover from enemy fire while shortening the distance to target.
  4. I like the larger maps as they offer much more tactical options. Never ending action on parking lot sized maps you’ll find in CoD.
  5. Time per match depends on the players. Feel free to leave after your personal time is out. For me it doesn’t matter if the match is won or lost, i stay active in game until it’s over.

Imo it’s the biggest advantage of the Normandy. I feel that in other campaigns any other weapon than SMG is a waste of time.

Idk what you’re talking about I have two P-47s and three BAR squads and one assaulter and it’s just fine.

My Favorite campaigns:

  1. Moscow
  2. Normandy
  3. Tunisia
  4. Berlin

You can do ok as US on Normandy, but only with top, maxxed weapons. And still - you often have no counter to some things, like STG or MG42

US Normandy could use some help ya
