As things stand, soviets are the only faction without paras in the game. You should change that before the merge, otherwise this will create a fundamental capacity imbalance between soviets and germans when the merge happens.

We cannot promise that we will have time to do this before the new meta, but we will try to introduce paratroopers for the USSR as well.

How will you explain this where Germans can have two paratrooper squads while the Soviets right now have nothing besides not having stuff like impact grenades and WP too?

Solution for the beginning would be to simply direct german line-ups with paras to fight allies 100% of the time until ussr has para squads too.
Agreed on the nades, especially since for instance the ampulomet is available for others as well.
I’m fine with asymmetrical balance, but “nothing vs something” is a bit too asymmetrical.
