I have noticed ever since playing the game, that there is a definite problem on battlefields with the accumulation of destroyed vehicle. This becomes more of an annoyance when a teammates vehicle is destroyed (not the complaint) where it blocks the only main route to an obective whether it be a narrow bridge, awinding road through rocky terrain or just a place that is only wide enough for a single vehicle. When one is destroyed in a location like this, others pile up behind it looking for a way through, making them easily picked off by AT soldiers, explosives, tanks or planes, making the bottleneck worse.
Ideally, tanks should be able to blast their way through wreckage, but in the war…engineers could remove wreckage, build bridges, etc. I propose adding an engineer class that would allow all what engineer IIs can build plus adding the ability to remove wreckage and build bridges. As it would be an engineer III squad, it would also allow with a new TT weapon.
I think this is a feature that would definitely benefit all teams, especially as the wreckage piles up as you climb the BR chain. A plane disappears when it crashes…tanks need to be able to be moved more easily as well…then it can also be a new xp/score generator since we are STILL waiting on the bomb arm/disarm point generator.
The reason this isn’t possible is due to two factors. The first is the tank operators’ lack of terrain awareness. If you know you can be destroyed, you’re not going to position yourself in a vulnerable spot to be destroyed and block the way; in short, it’s a skill issue. The second point is that enemies who destroy vehicles this way sometimes do so intentionally as a strategy, specifically so that other tanks can’t advance. I’m not against enabling more structures for the engineer, but removing destroyed tanks that function as natural cover and strategic points seems like a lack of vision to me. I would instead add an option to tie that destroyed tank backward, as happens in War Thunder.
(I don’t know if this last part is translated correctly, I mean the option of being able to tie another tank with the hook and pull it back)
Agreed but there are tons of new players who don’t realize this, even some veterans. However in WWII engineers ha the ability to clear paths for vehicles with ordanence or whatnot…we need that ability here even if it is time consuming for that engineer. People have a hard enough time building rally points let alone worrying about vehicle positioning or the use of infantry to defend them.
This!! Like golf, Play it where is lies. If I want to block a tank spamming path with 7 of the tanks I have deaded so far, then I will cos I can. Oh look here comes an 8th, spaaaaners gimme your last xplosion pack noooow! Xxxx
