Gas wasn’t used in ww2 though. (Except for some weird showers.)

Yeah, let’s introduce extremely toxic AoE mechanics that can be countered only by spending ingame resources by purchasing gas mask, what a flawless idea.

WP anyone? Except it’s countered by not being poor.

every large nation had vast amount of gas and until the first 2 years of wars the armies always were equipped with gas masks and decontamination units in case anyone uses gas attacks. for HA having these units in the game is essential.
also gas attacks were used sometimes, eg the common nebelwerfer who used all types of shells

From what I know there were no gas attacks during ww2 period. All major countries had masive stockpiles of various chemical weapons but non were used (again, except for funny showers).
So since
- it’s ahistorical
- it doesn’t improve the gampleay and could be detremental (at least imo)
I don’t think there is a need to implement this.

WP ammo, or flammable ammo works as a “chemical” unit;
I agree that the OP has the COMPLETELY wrong World War in mind;

world war historical accuracy, u know enlisted already done with the term “historical accuracy” after the merge, and introducing prototypes like ho ri1 and t20 rifle
How would this be good gameplay … this would just be toxic (pun intended).
