During sprinting, you can quickly lie down by pressing the “Z” key, which of course comes with a bit of inertia.(Not too far, about 1 meter.)
This is a very common tactical action that can increase the survival rate of soldiers when attacked in open areas, and of course, it can also improve the playability of the game, and it is very realistic.(I don’t think anyone would ever lie down slowly like in a game, especially when attacked by enemies.)
Additionally, it is preferable that AI soldiers can also follow the player to respond.
I dont really enjoy flying forward like in BF6 but it is true that actions in this game seem like theyre not in a hurry to do anything especially the bots when it comes to getting in cover
This is completely different. In reality, humans can immediately lie down while running, but this is not lying down in place. It’s more like you tripped up, you appear to have moved forward a certain distance.

That might work great for the actual player, but unfortunately, our bots are not programmed to survive, or even programmed with the intelligence of a rock.

since people want to make this game like cod so much then the next step is combat slide.
Unfortunately I doubt the devs would be able to animate this well. If it is added weapons better be disabled during the dive and for a short time after.
I don’t know why some people think that only running, squatting, and lying down are real, to the extent that they even oppose some actions that can be achieved in reality. 
You can’t do a combat slide,but you can definitely use inertia to immediately lie down while running,which is even a tactical move that every new recruit should learn.

No, no, no, this isn’t Call of Duty. Don’t slide. In the history of World War II, no soldier ever slid while carrying heavy equipment.

Quickly lying down is unlikely to work, as it could lead to fractures or internal injuries for soldiers carrying heavy loads or equipment.
Yes all my bones actually snap whenever I lie down too quickly.

No, no, no, many tactical actions in reality require you to quickly get down, which is different from some games in that these actions will not allow you to slide a long distance on the ground.The unreal factor is’ sliding a long distance ‘rather than’ quickly lying down '.

So here’s the question: can mortar squads and flamethrower squads suddenly and quickly lie down? Are you sure that doing so wouldn’t crush them with the equipment they’re carrying?
